Very unhappily, and I would normally be sympathetic with teams who get eliminated. However since its a Ross Lyon coached team, I really don't care about how they feel.

Yes, on this...was interested to see the Fox boys asking which coach you would prefer in a final Lyon or Hinkley where they quoted Lyon as a master coach....and I wondered but his results are akin to Bobby Rose's?
Lyon's teams always keep opposition teams in the game. His defensive style was once again exposed by a coach that took the initiative. I think to this stage Ross has coached as many premiership sides as Bucks has....so...master coach?

One of my friends said something interesting about his game plan and why he cant win a grandfinal. He said that the problem with Lyon's gameplan is that is relies on intense pressure however when you are in a grandfinal the intensity which would be considered high during the Home and Away season is only the minimum. So he needs something else to win the game which he hasn't been able to deliver. Also the MCG doesn't suit his style either.

The last time 2 teams lost a qualifying final and semi final was in 1997 (West Coast & Geelong), but that was under a different system and West Coast finished 5th.
