for some reason Surfers match up well against Grange as their winning margins have been around the 40 point margins over the last few years. Round 1 2010 was the last time Grange beat Surfers.

massive turn around at Mayne this year, great to see and good for footballGreat win to Surfers, not taking anything away from them just thought the margin might of varied if all played, Haven't got the result from the PBC/Burleigh match yet =, but Mayne are sitting 3rd at the moment with a % of 163Not bragging or getting carried away its just nice to see after all the pain they suffered for many years.

Mayne's next match against Burleigh at home will be a crucial game for them to win and we should going by form. The following 4 weeks we will be up against the big guns PBC away, Noosa home, W/Magpies home which they will very difficult to beat, so the 4 points against burleogh will be important to have any chance of making the finals.

Surfers defeated Grange by 61 points, who would have thought.
Good win by Surfers, going to be tight at the top this year!......About time AFLQ got there act together and start posting the round previews on a Friday, with the outs Grange had i wouldn't have been tipping them!
Yep me too, I would have tipped Surfers. Not sure whether keeping the tipsters on bigfooty happy is the number 1 priority for the AFLQ people.

Isnt the game on the same weekend as normal fixtures? Be interesting if the clubs allow all these players to play. I can see interesting times ahead to see who plays and who doesnt.

I watched a lot of a lower division last year and noticed a ruckman playing for beenleigh, I went and watched this year and he was gone after some investigating I found he was at springwood , I have watched them 2 times this year and imo they got a fair shelaking however this ruckman #11 is as versatile as any and with a strong set of hands and great work rate he didn't lose a tap to much bigger ruck. By far the the best ruck I've seen in quiet some time can anyone tell me his name and if he is in this squad ??

Vasterink I think. He is from Springwood and has been their best player all year according to the AFLQ write ups. He was very competitive against Forbes from Sandgate who is in squad. Id say if he played for PBC or Noosa, he would be in.

Couldnt tell you his name qff. However there are three ruckman I can see in that squad listed and they are Brendan Forbes Sandgate, Michael I'Anson PBC and Dom Beer Western Magpies. Not sure they would be taking 4 big men in! with the 3 they have should be more than competitive.

Very good qld_footy_fan your on the money it is Mitch vasterink he's only 20 years old and is an amazing ruckman having been his rover all of last year and a very close friend of mine he has nothing but good things to say about his opposing ruckman.
I think if he continues to do what he is doing at springwood chances of being looked at for a higher division or rep teams will soon notice ,
As megaman pointed out if he was in a better team (taking nothing away from the young springwood) but he would have a better chance of being looked at . Sure do miss him at beenleigh that's for sure .
Megaman when and where is the stockmans played ?
Bit harsh Megaman - not sure there is any bias attached to the selections that i can see. Tromph never got a gig and to my mind I barely ever seen him beaten.

By all reports Maroochy were very competitive against the Magpies, wouldn't be surprised if they won this week. Maroochy/Pumas match is hard to tip, i only went for pumas due to home ground advantage.
Yes these are my tips as well.
