time will tell won't it. Delaney has said from the start of the season that it will take atleast 6 weeks for Maroochydore to play there best footy.
 
Well the original thread has reappeared my tips again
bornwinners and stuyd1 same tips as mine noted.

Round 9 tips

W/Magpies v Burgleigh
Mayne v Noosa
Sandgate v W/Grange
Springwood v PBC
Coolangatta v Maroochydore
 
Well guys i would to hear people thoughts about the PHC comp this year, does everyone think its been really good this year, has it been more competitive than past years and has the comp settled a bit over the years.

I think its been very competitive, you have the usual big guns firing like Noosa,Magpies and PBC, W/Grange Surfers and Big improvers Mayne firing. Sandgate up and about Maroochy are finding their ATM and showing some good form thats 8 out the 11 doing well i think thats a great sign for comp.
I think Springwood are right road to recovery blooding the young ones won't be long before they win a tonne of games, not Burleigh and Cooly will get back on their feet.

Look over the last few years or so I think rate of thrashings has dropped think its becoming slowly more even.

Same tips as Tiger, although I wouldn't be suprised if the Tigers upset the Tigers this week. Mayne V Noosa will be a great game

Such as shame there is no bye over the long weekend as in the past, it has ruined a good day out at Doomben for the Stradbroke!! ;)

Cannot believe AFLQ cancelled Maroochy Cooly game this morning.. Firstly the league requested we play the sunday of a Long weekend, which Maroochy was not keen for, then to cancel the game at 9am. Maroochy's bus had to turn around, players from the reserves where already around the Nudgee area. Some Players did not get the message and turned up, to find out the ground was in fine conditions. Certainlly not what we play in at Fishermans Rd. It has ruined the weekend for many families. Once comitted this game should have been played Rain, Hail or Shine. Again the people in high places make a poor poor decision. I question did cooly push for cancellation that l cant answer but is in the back of my mind. Honestly for Pineapple Cup, next step down from state league in this area, run by lazy people who get paid. The media is poor by AFLQ compared to other leagues in Australia. Maybe there needs to be a shake up or investigation into AFLQ to see if they are preforming. As for the fixture why, i ask why dont play each other twice? That would make the competition even. Remember this is my thoughts.

Yeah true, don't know what it was like down the coast but it didn't rain all day in Brissie, Maroochy would be very understandably pissed off.
 
just a bit of trivia.fevola kicked 10 for yarrawonga on the weekend and now has 49 goals in 7 games.and ex lions spearhead, Daniel Bradshaw booted 10 and now has 55 in 8 games.Also rumours are that Matt Shir is returning home to his club in Wodonga.

Must mention that Bradshaw is playing for Howlong in the Hume league,,, a much lesser standard to the Ovens and Murray where Fevola is playing.Bradshaw is playing with his 2 brothers and relishing his twilight footy tenure.

Yeah that is pathetic re Maroochy / Cooly match. IF it was because Cooly was struggling to get numbers then even more so. How could it be for anything else TBH when the weather was fine and the ground in good nick... If Cooly had to have 10 blokes double up then so be it.
Think the Maroochy powers would be well within their rights to get a formal investigation happening and find out wtf went on there. Very inconvenient, very inconsiderate and very unprofessional.

Tend to agree. Quite a bit of rain overnight but very little today on the coast. 4 games played at Broadbeach today where there was a cricket pitch, and the middle was muddy but the ground playable. Goals scored all day.

No secret that Cooly has been struggling for numbers and being a long weekend a few may have been unavailable. With the threat of being dropped down a division if their ressies forfeited it seems a little convenient to call the game off. Its the sort of thing you expect in div 4. Maroochy have every right to be pissed off and if I was them I'd be wanting AFLQ or Cooly to pay for the team bus they got.
 
Yep agree 2010 - I know Maroochy struggled last year for numbers at times - is when clubs pull together. if Cooly can't manage this then maybe they are better off in another division... Noone says they have a right to be in Div 1.

i know it has nothing 2 do with the PHC,.. but i made some posts on this a few weeks ago and a number of guys replied showing their interest eg .SMY 1305. So im just updating the stats on these 2 players that played for the Lions.So Tiger G , why are u so offended. To use the words WTF, ... UR KIDDING.GROW UP..
