Of course not. They had a crack and it made a great game. they have plenty ti look forward too. i was just pouring somen petrol on the fire for a rivalry clash!!!
Not sure how Brewster didn't get in the best Bazza - he was the significant difference bn the sides. Every time it went fwd he looked like either kicking a goal or setting it up. Certainly the Tigers will be exposed massively in the rucks against the better sides. One battles manfully albeit but I thought the Roos looked the better side at times when Turner and the young fella Simpson (a ruck division of an 18 and 20yr old has a bit of a upside!) took control. Think the Roos coaching staff will be quietly happy with that effort against one of the better sides in Div 1 in an away game.

'Brew' is a quality player and from a spectator point of view is never taken for granted in their eyes.

After speaking with some of the Roos hierarchy, the Club seems finally on track. The League needs a strong Roos on the Coast and all indications point to that taking place.

roos want to be able to be on track off the field and on the field for the next 10 years.

not many senior clubs boasting 5 teams at the moment. takes alot of committed volunteers and officials to keep 5 teams on the field each and every week. its a credit to the people who have stuck by the roos in recent years (players, coaches, officials, volunteers, supporters etc), hopefully they have created the fabric which will see the club benefit for years to come.

sorry(just for noosaboy), and of course, can't go passed dj todd. without him, none of this would have been possible.

Does anyone know when the Surfers/Springwood and Maroochy/Cooly games will be played?

Does anyone know when the Surfers/Springwood and Maroochy/Cooly games will be played?

from what I undertand, Maroochydore/Cooly AFLQ have left it up to the clubs to sort out, which is unacceptable as neither are going to agree to playing the match if it means they are going to be put out.

AFLQ cancelled the game without checking the state of the ground, without checking to see if there was another venue that was able to host the game (4 under 18 games were played that day, as well as masters).

Doesn't help when the clubs are 300km apart, a mid week catch up game hasn't really got much chance of getting up unless they agree to play at a mutual ground.

Its a shame for both clubs as I am sure both teams would like there chances of getting a much needed win, bot it's a bigger shame for the players who miss out on match payments, opportunity to earn votes in the leage best and fairest etc.

Thats are disgrace they should give the 4 points to Maroochydore cause you could 99.9% guarantee Maroochy would of won that game.

And after that they will ask them to sort out the refugee issue and gay marriage...

WTF - leadership (at its worst). How about someone grow some gonads and just say, "this is when the game will be played" make sure you are there. Play it in Brisbane, midweek and be done with it. Do without the 2's match maybe as it isn't going to make an ounce of difference except an opportunity for blokes to gain B&F votes. Like Tiger said, pretty bloody ordinary.

Round 14 tips
Burleigh v Sandgate
Mayne v Maroochydore
Springwood v Surfers
Cooly v Noosa
W/Grange v W/Magpies

A few tough tips in this round, Sandgate have been ripped apart by injuries but think they will have enough to get past Burleigh. Mayne/Maroochy game will be tough, Maroochy have improved alot and are playing with alot of confidence, Mayne have been hit hard from injury but show alot of heart and Tiger spirit just to lose a close one against Grange, home ground adv just sways me to tip Mayne.

Pretty sure Springwood will give the Demons hell on their home patch, all the pressure is on Surfers to win. Wouldn't be surprised if Springwood upset them, but i think Surfers will get up to keep a place in the 5. Noosa will destroy Cooly, really hope AFLQ doesn't cancel this game unnecessarily! Well Grange/ Magpies has the potential to be a ripper, Magpies should win but they should have in thoughts what happened last time they played each other

What was the go with spat between the coaches (Cresswell and Zorko) after their match. Reported in the paper that Cresswell had a crack at Surfers for some cheap shots?

Cresswell was reacting to some "cheap shots" from the surfers boys. I personally didnt see any, other than Drake on his knees in the first few minutes off the ball (not sure what happened)! Other than that, not a lot. But in saying that there was some talk after the game from players saying there was a 'bit going on'
Was shocked when I read Cresswell's review of the game, not often you see a coach come out and really have a dig at opposition clubs. Not how I would react but hey, who cares what I think. Will defiantly have some feeling the next time they both meet!

I think he was referring to the Red and Yellow cards to PBC Boys and Surfers getting nothing after a few scuffles around the ground. The cards were a disgrace, why do they have them anyway? I thought cards were for soccer?

Creswell obviously wasnt at PBC when R.Rogers was around PBC.

the might have been because of the idiot that came out at qtr time and stood in front of the umpires hurling abuse at them

Your right damo, Obrien wasnt arrested. Sadly cant argue with speedy either, rogers defiantly went about things a little differently. And the threats didnt come from Cresswell it was from the player that got red carded. (not that it makes it any better!) And the card system is a joke! No one was hurt from the scuffle and when Jess Derek got asked about his yellow card, he replied "I came in and hip and shouldered a Surfers player out the way!" And I think anyone that was at last years granny would agree, red carding a player (or two) completely ruins what should be a tough and entertaining contest! We dont play a bruise free sport and tempers do run hot, but in 30 years of watching footy I've seen one incident that required someone being sent off for the remainer of the game. Umpires, leave it alone!

my experiance from grand finals is you do what you have to do to win the silverware!! Red Cards, Yellow Cards in Granny's sure do stop that!
