Sandgate v Noosa
W/Grange v Burleigh
Springwood v W/Magpies
Coolangatta v PBC

Should be an easy round but you just never know Springwood with Proud back this week and at home could give the Magpies a good test if there not on there game!
 
What the hell is wrong with Noosa losing to Sandgate? Taking nothing away from the Hawks.

No Bova, Trompf, Boydle, Mills. Boydle went to a music festival instead apparently. Wonder how the other players will welcome him at training Tuesday? Great response to a poor effort last week from Sandgate though.

Noosa in trouble.Commitment lacking hugely and not having bovalino(the clubs outstanding leader) and Trompf(the clubs barometer for aggression) blokes going on overseas holidays and music festivals,theres no wonder they are dropping games.I think the boys are very content with winning back to back,hard to see them holding the cup up this year.Hunger a big thing in footy and clearly not here at the tigers at present.

Couldnt agree more Noosaboy! Hunger is the most important thing! without the desire to go again it makes it very easy to rest on your credentials and without bova and trompf (their two most important players) it sounds very unsettled. Anyway if they get these players back by finals I would bet they will go deep, given there ability to play finals footy better than anyone else over the past two years! Wouldnt right them off just yet.

Maybe playing a couple of younger boys with a bit of hunger like Tickner and Freeman might have dissolved that "hunger" problem mate... Quite easily the most bizarre selection decisions I've heard of this year??:confused:

Wow...what about if the Surfers vs Springwood game was not played because the league stuffed up and couldn't schedule it at a reasonable time which meant that they offered the teams to play it on a Wed night...then imagine if Springwood didn't want to play and forfeited so Surfers get the 4 points and knock Sandgate and Mayne out of finals contention!! Surely it couldn't happen when the other senior game which was washed out (Maroochy vs Cooly) both sides split the points!! How would you feel if you were a Hawk or a Tiger!!!

The league administrator....what club was he originally from again??? Oh that's right...Surfers!!

Not a good look again for this comp. Surely something must be done.

Can't worry about hypotheticals, it's getting played this month and Maroochy and Cooly didn't receive any points for that cancelled game, Maroochy were robbed. Looks like Surfers will hang on their 5th spot.

Especially after Springwood won last time the two sides met! When is the make up game Tiger G? Surfers can pretty much lock away 5th spot with a win against Grange, but that will be a close one. Lose, and then the pressure is really on! Mayne would be next best chance, two easy games to finish. Sandgate need to beat Springwood SAturday and will be clubhouse leaders but have Bye in Rd18, where Surfers and Mayne will have all the pressure of winning. Exciting fight for the last spot, you would say Surfers should win 2 of the last 3 to get 5th.

Just play the game on the scheduled day for F#$K sake and there wont be these problems. Its a winter sport and rain generally tends to fall out of the sky and make the ground a little muddy during winter.Absolute disgrace how the league have handled these circumstances with 2 sides being offered the chance to play the game and correct me if im wrong the other 2 not. Administrators and people at club level becoming far to precious when we have some rain. Its the same for both sides so saddle up, get ya hands dirty and get on with it. Ever hear of games being cancelled in Victoria?

Agree with what you said, I think the problem is this day and age everybody to worried the league would get sued if they got seriously injured?
 
And councils make calls these days too on grounds. Saying this, disgraceful that the Maroochy v Cooly game has never been played, irrespective of whether either side is in the mix for finals. pretty sure this won't happen but what if either side had a guy not win the League B&F by 1 vote??

Well it probably robbed Maroochydore the chance of finishing higher on the ladder.
 
Should play it after the last game of the year - no different to playing it now or whenever. Just means these guys will play on the same round that the first finals match weekend.

If Surfers win all three they can finish in third! Despite the abortion that is the make up game, sure makes for a thrilling finish to the season. Surfers Grange will be game of the round and wouldnt be surprised to see people from mayne and sandgate there watching very closely. But thirdly, the surfers boys certainly have to do it the hard way playing three games in a week then possibly into finals the next. League has certainly done them no favours, but they made their bed, win a couple more at the start of the year and you wouldnt be in this position! Good luck to all teams.
