I am a commissioner of one of the BigFooty Fantasy NBA competitions and a very serious incident has just occured.

Basically, I had the final say on a trade that I thought was so uneven that wasn't funny.

The trade was:

Scott Pippen for Dirk Nowitski

Now, I am sure all of you will agree how uneven that trade was and, as any commissioner would, I vetoed the trade, and rightly so.

These two baboons thought they could con the system, though. Both coaches dropped those two players, making them fall into the Free Agents List, so they could pick up the opposing player from the FA List (as pre-per the original trade offer).

Now, my question is:

Is there any way, as a commissioner, that I can change a team's list, making Dirk and Scott go back to their original coach? I have searched in commissioner's tools, but I can't find anything.

Suggestions?

Nope.

All you can do is lock both managers teams until both players clear waivers, thus meaning they cannot pick said players up.

Besides, they won't simply be able to pick them up as the waiver priority is in effect. Whoever has number 1 priority will get Dirk Diggler.

Yeah, another member came along and picked up Dirk. I have locked both managers from performing any further actions such as trading, picking up players and drop players. I have made it clear that no similar action(s) will be tolerated.

I think it’s wrong, though, as a commissioner, that I cannot do something about this.

Is there any reason, other than the person receiving Scottie being JOD, that this deal would ever be completed by two sane, fantasy NBA players?

Exactly. Who would trade Dirk to receive a player who is well into the twilight of his career.

The mind boggles.

Guilty as charged. Defendants are sentenced to a life supporting the Clippers.:D

Seriously dude...Name them so they can't join any of our leagues next year...unless he/she/it is playing in both of our comps already.

I know all, and I will tell all!

First of all, there are only about 3 or 4 people out of the 10 in our league that know the slightest thing about basketball.

Pazza had Nowitzski, and wanted to trade him for Pippen. Now Dees_best had Pippen on his list, so of course Gridlocked being the knowledgeable man of basketball that he is, accepted this trade with arms wide open (as any sane person would).
When the trade took place, Xie made the trade void. Which the two then delisted the players, and were going to pick them up in FA's. At the exact time they delisted them, I happened to be browsing the FA's, which is when I saw Nowitzski and thought HELLO, so I picked him up before Gridlocked got the chance.
Since then I have found out that the other two were trying to be sneaky and get this trade past Xie, and I had came through and spoiled it on them. At this time I also found out that I had been banned from any further trading/delistings/pickups, which I then spoke to Xie and he realised all I did was pick up Nowitzski from the FA's (as any person browsing them at the time would have). So now I am able to still trade etc...... I think......

But the other two guys on the other hand. ;) Unlucky fellas.

P.S - Nowitzski is now on my list, Pippen is on Pazzas, and Gridlocked's delisted Pippen for no one. So do these get reversed or what?

Someone tell gridlocked to get out of the 90s!

Give him a break, he picked him up in the 150 range. Atleast he had the brains to do the trade. ;)

Justin, it was Pazza who had Dirk, not Gridlocked. You only have to see the trades that Pazza did in the Super 16's comp (Games Board) to see how much he likes to give away quality.

Someone who knows basketball to a minor extent will know how good Pippen used to be (Pazza), and the guy is well past his peak. Pazza claims he has never heard of Dirk and, therefore, he thought he won this trade. Pffft.

I would like Dirk to return to Pazza's list, Pippen to Dees_best's list and Inferno to pick up another guy from the FA list.

Problem is, is getting Inferno to drop Dirk, though. ;)
