Even though you finished 15th and us 16th, your list was further developed.

I am sure you agree that, teams fielding a 22 with the majority of the players between the age group of 23-27 are in good hands, yes?

You have done very, very well. Which actually has nothing to do with us believe it or not.

If we drop back down again next year, then yes we are up and down like a yoyo. But we won't. We'll make top 8, which will indicate another year of improvement.

4 years ago you had a number of core players in - or soon to be in - the age group that is so important of around 23-27. We didn't. We are approaching the time we will.

What do I think of you winning the flag? I was glad, because I wanted to see Crawf get one. If he wasn't playing though, I would've liked to see nothing more than your dirty side with it's dirty **** of a coach and it's unintelligent, arrogant, feral, bandwagoner's that are it's supporters get rammed into the turf.

You have done well there is no doubt about that. Our biggest mistake was exactly what you said, going up and down like a yo yo. If we had just sat at the bottom for 3 to 4 years and then made our way up the ladder if would have been a lot better for us now. Oh well, we are on our way up now and i expect to make the finals in 09.

we took a different path to the hawks, because we had to considering we have only made the finals twice in 26 years and had plenty of frustating 9th's. We'll catch you guys in a year or so anyway. We had to take the slower path and Terry did the right thing

I honestly thought Carlton were the one team that missed the 8 capable of doing the most damage if they made the 8 but after watching what you guys achieved I think I seriously under rated our side.

Now having said that... yes congrats are in order, so enjoy your win and try to be a bit humble, after all Geelong threw it away.

4 points i'd like to make...

1. hawks had more players to trade, for draft picks when you bottomed out,we were a train wreck after the Spud experiment!

2. we are about 2 years behind you guys in re building our team... so watch out were coming!

3. You were blessed that Jeff Kennett is an Hawthorn supporter and was willing to give his time and expertise in the running of your club.... the guy got Victoria back on it's feet again, a footy club would of been a piece of cake for a man of his talent, so a lot of credit must go to him

P.S. i know D scott, I Dicker,J Dunstall and Dermie played their part as well,though we've all seen jeff at work before,and he usualy gets what he wants.

4. BE HUMBLE!! ....It Was'nt that long ago that Melbourne had the upper hand in the proposed merger with you guys....Be Humble!
