OK guys. Let's not get pre-occupied with players that we want to get rid of. Let's look at some reasonable trade prospects and some players that could help us make the finals again next year and a flag in the couple. Players like Williams and McKee will find themselves on other clubs' lists or in the VFL anyway. So, the following trades are what Balmy and the boys should be thinking about:

Presti & Pick 7 to St Kilda for Luke Ball. Or, McGough & Pick 7 to Hawthorn, Hawthorn's Pick 5 to St Kilda, Presti to St Kilda for Ball.

S'Obree & 2nd Round pick to Melbourne for C.Bruce. If Ball deal is not possible Presti & Pick 7 can be put on the table.

It is likely that we would only be able to secure one of these deals. If it had to happen you could also add O'Bree to the Ball deal. But if we find we can land one of those deals without using Presti we could send Presti to Melbourne for Jolly in a straigh swap. That would be a very good under-rated deal. That would mean we could send Fraser down foward and rotate Richards and Jolly in the centre.

Ryce Shaw & 2nd Round pick (if still available) to Richmond for Zantuck.

Rocca flys high,

Bruce is out of contract and has been linked to Collingwood. There is a big chance here that this trade could fall our way if we come to the table with a decent deal. Wouldn't it be devastating if another player says he wants to come to Collingwood yet the deal can't be done?

Lets give these trades a rest until they start happening.

None of us know what the hells going on behind the scenes or what will eventuate.

The chances of any of these trades getting up is nil! Players that still have value are Obree and Presti. Personally I wouldn't trade Presti(Wakelins not exactly a spring chicken)and Obree for someone like Joel Smith is more realistic.

turn it up! you rate zantuck way too highly, or you devalue rhyce shaw's total worth to anyone, or you think the draft depth will stop at pick 22 (or whatever our 2nd rounder is) and there will be no good players left?

that deal would be disastrous IMO

Yeah maybe. I rate Zantuck. He kicked 4 goals against us that day. I think he needs a change of environment and that's why he asked to be traded. If we could get away with it I'd love to save our 2nd Round pick and just trade Shaw.
