Setanta - it's time

I agree, it would be an ideal time for Setanta to play. Having Karl and Setanta in the back half would certainly give us a bit of a mean streak. Could be a good opportunity for these guys to develop a bit before Thornton and Livo come back. BTW impressed with Kouta's efforts today and Eddies. Our midfield was very disappointing however. Heavily tagged by North, and didn't deal with it very well. Something Pagan will be working on during the week. Hope we take it out on the Dons next week big time. :)

is there a spot open on the senior list or can thornton be counted as a long term injury so setanta can be promoted but otherwise he will have to stay on the rookie list and not get a game

bugger

Fisher looked good at Easter Monday training and was involved in all but the contact stuff so can't really say he is LTI material.

Although he is almost getting the cotton wool treatment, I did observe some after training activities which involved fast leading.....read into this what you will!

Can't explain it but I have a feeling that Bryan and Russell may get a guernsey soon...well before Setanta gets promoted.

Fisher is injured. Thornton is injured. Livo is injured (with a very small possiblity of playing on Friday). Hartlett is injured. None of these injuries are long-term injury list material which means that Setanta is ruled out as well as a Rookie Listed player.

The best bet would be playing Digby at Full Back and Norman at CHB against Essendon this week and hope that Livo recovers for Round 3 and beyond when we actually have to play teams with a forward line.
