Setanta O'Hailpin

Setanta has the same height and weight as those guys, but he doesn't move as well as those guys. Those guys you mentioned are very atheletic.

If you're implying that O'hAilpin isn't athletic, then I seriously don't know what is.

O'hAilpins greatest attribute is his athleticism and mobility for his height.

Get the boy some angry pills, I say.
I also love the Mad Irishman, but that lonely puppy dog look just doesn't suit.

The day The Irish gets onto the field breathing fire and spitting blood, will be the day I know we're back in business.

Here is a plan

How about we get someone to steal his woman, let Hoops and the boys get him on the turps and tell him what a bitch life is - then have the coach tell him to go out and show some mongrel on the ground :D

Or tell him that the Swans have barrels of Guinness that they wont share.

That's right, I made an Irish joke.

Injuries really did hamper Irish last season, I mean just imagine if first Fev didn't knee him in the ribs (accidentally) which caused internal bleeding, and then later on, he had a blood clot in his right leg ...

Carlos is a workhorse, is not scared of anyone in this league (He took on big bad Jono Brown a few years ago and beat him in an NAB Cup Final) and gives a contest every time 100 percent.

Of course he'll never be a Wayne Carey or Nick Riewoldt, but lets be honest, they are once in a generation type of players ...
The Irishman is a valuable asset for our fowardline structure now that Fev's gone ... Give him an injury free season and some support and he'll repay the faith, and prove his doubters wrong ...

People like Garry Lyon and Gerald Healy are big wraps for him (and with good reason) and they are respected media journalists ...

Yes looks like his the only hope to save Ratten now that Fisher looks gone and Fevola getting the arse.

My feeling over summer was that with all the new player potential and improvement in existing players I could see no place for Carlos ruck, fwd nor back. He can play all but none very well. Saying that he would be a good reserve for Bower/Jamo/TBird if one goes down.
After yesterday I think we need his energy. same as for Army we lacked blokes willing to back themselves

Maybe get him to rough up a few team mates first. That might bring out the aggro in him.

No I'll pass on that one lol. Maybe a cruise sounds better for you guys or a night out at the casino or try and make a stand in front of national television on brownlow night.

How about going in the back seat of a car with Benny Cousins and Daniel Chick doing the rounds with some of Perth's finest gear ???

Oh an end of season trip to Las Vegas, where Chad Fletcher was techincally dead for a few minutes after he choked on his own vomit for too much grog ??

And Micky Gardiner hanging out with Perth Gangsters ???

LOL @ West Coast fans bagging our club for our culture, we're practically as clean as an Nun's virture compared to the toxic sheninigans from the West Coke Eagles !!! :D

Really? Look I don't want to be spiteful but you and gunslinger should look at these following details before you start slinging mud at another club:
(afl.com)
Police confirmed that Betts, 23, of West Brunswick, was locked up at 4am on Sunday morning in Melbourne after being picked up for being drunk and disorderly on Queen Street.
teammates Ryan Houlihan and Andrew Walker were yesterday fined $5000 by their club after being banned from Crown Casino for five years as a consequence of their drunken battle with security guards on Saturday night after the year-ending function.

Banned ... Ryan Houlihan and Andrew Walker
A witness to the alleged incident said Houlihan was walking around the hotel's lift lobby in his underwear about 3am when staff asked him to return to his room.
Minutes later, he said, screams could be heard when Houlihan, 27, became involved in a dispute with a woman and a security guard intervened.

Walker, 23, allegedly then became involved in the fight with the security officer before two bell boys and back-up security officers

In 2001, Houlihan and then teammate Brendan Fevola were fined by Carlton after allegedly trying to steal jackets from a dry cleaner in North Melbourne ...
And this

*Carlton football players accused of recreational drug use
Yet another football scandal has emerged in Melbourne, with two Carlton Football Club players in serious trouble over allegations of recreational drug use. It's alleged players Lawrence Angwin and Karl Norman attended a team meeting this week under the influence of drugs.

An alleged rape

``Kate’’ said she agreed to have sex with one player but later woke up to find another raping her.
This woman doesn’t want money - she wants justice.*
No charges were laid the first time around because, as Victorian police chief commissioner Simon Overland explained, the investigation was bungled.
So here we have a woman who has endured a decade of depression since being r*ped and the state’s chief cop admitting that it might have gone further had the police done their*
*job
Where are the Carlton players who ``Kate’’ says r*ped her? Who’s trying to flush them out?
AFL chief Andrew Demetriou says it’s now a police matter, but isn’t it conceivable that players involved back then might be donning the colours of Carlton or another team this weekend?
And what are the full details of the ``bungled’’ police investigation, which sounds less like a procedural breakdown than a full-scale cover-up?

reember I live in Perth so know all about the cover ups of WC players and St Mary's girls, the assaults at pubs, the links to kickboxing troupes etc

Utterly stupid post Spudman !

Agree with other posters who believe Waite and Carlos in the forward line together will cause headaches for the opposition, was looking really good until Fev took him out. Still dirty on Fev for that. Good luck Carlos.

7 minutes later in a different thread
It be hard to sack Ratten even if we won the spoon i think Kernahan will keep him at all costs.I'm sure there be a lot of angry people although.I reckon Leigh Matthews is the man for us but he won't be because of the love for Ratten. I rate Brett Ratten as good as Mark Harvey but has the better team list.
