Fast Facts
• Season 20 is the first time the Sin City Swamprats have won the SFA minor premiership. It's also the club's highest ever ladder finish at the end of a home and away season, beating the second place finish they had in Season 06.
• The Swamprats also equalled the most amount of home and away wins by the club with 13, a mark that was also achieved in Season 04 and 06. They also equalled the amount of wins the club had in Season 18 and 19 combined.
• The 'Rats also had the second highest percentage achieved a minor premier, second only to Mount Buller Demons' 130.04% in Season 03.
• Geelong Wolves' qualification for the finals set a number of records. Their eighth place finish is only the second time ever a club has claimed a finals berth with six wins, the only previous time this occurred was in Season 01. It's also the least amount of wins to make a finals series of five teams or greater.
• The Wolves also have the lowest winning percentage by a finals qualifying team (37.50%), least win/loss differential record (-4).
• Compared to last season goal accuracy was up 1.54% with goal ratio percentage up by 9.82%.
• Total scoring shots across the competition was up slightly from last season, increasing at an average of 0.20 shots per round.
Did you know? The SFA minor premiers have only won the premiership twice, the latest such occurrence was in Season 13. Overall the most successful ladder position for premierships has been 2nd (six times) with 3rd (four times), 4th (three times), 5th (twice) and 6th (twice) also seeing premiership success.
