Shane Edwards - Automatic Selection?

For me Edwards is a player we need to upgrade. I was a fan of his but his kicking is not up to AFL standard. We need to stop being content with these types of players because we will never make the finals with them in the team.

I doubt any top 8 teams currently would take Edwards in their team.

i am not a fan of edwards but he did ok yesterday disposal was only fair but he worked hard, i still have him in the group we need to upgrade at some stage if we are going to be a challenger.

What about the disposal he recieves when he is on the run. Yesturday we couldn't get it to him. He had to stop to pick it up or run sideways to get it.

While we're on that I simply cannot wait for the day (lord knows how far away it is) when Richmond fields a side that is physically bigger and stronger than the opposition...... I just shake my head when I see the likes of Sylvia and Jones and Molony bullocking the ball out of the centre.... Martin aside, are there any other mids that we've brought in that have any real size about them?? Webberley, Helbig, Nason, Nahas, Edwards, Meyer, Polo, JON..... Im going way off topic here but it's very frustrating

The Dee's are a couple of years 'bigger' than us. While Edwards will never get bigger most of the other guys will (Cotchin, Conca, Helbig, even Martin).

I wont blame Edwards for yesterdays effort. I would say our inability to lay a tackle and the multiple turnovers from 90% of the team may have affected the result more than Titch.

Agree, Grigg was a shocker. Started the season magnificently but has gone right downhill since then.

Shane Edwards should be paid out his contract and delisted.

Don't care what any one-eyed Tiges supporters think, this man costs us several goals EVERY time he plays with shocking basic skill errors! Has had more than enough opportunity to rectify this. Will never improve.

My only issue with Dimma so far..how this joke gets a game.
