Absolute CRAP!!!!! He just needs to continue to grow his body, he is a skillful player and give him a chance there have been far worse out there today.

You're an idiot, he is 19yo and in his second year, wait another 6 years until he has reached his peak and grown into his body, then tell me we won't win a Premiership with him.

At least I saw the little guy do a lot of chasing yesterday. Pettifer merely jogging.
Reality is, Edwards is 19, early in his second season of AFL football. Show me a 19 year old who isn't inconsistent? Particularly a small forward!
Reality check. Cyril Rioli was quiet on Saturday, so was Kreuzer and Tom Hawkins. It happens with players that age.
Pettifer...an experienced player who dished up more of the same!

Even l have to disagree with you on this one, bit rich to question a bloke that is 19 and shows more ticker than some of our more experienced blokes.

He will be a good player he is our future and he will only get better Its people like you that we dont want at our games.

Edwards has shown more upside than Pettifer.
And CoggaRules is right. Morton was shunted out of the side for what reason?
Morton takes a better defender than Pettifer. Put it this way. Morton gets eight kicks for the game, but six of them are in the 50m arc. I'm no genius but even I can work out that is more effective than Pettifer's 21 touches on the wing and across half back.

Yep, snaring the ball on the wing or at half back and kicking it into a vacant forward line....why? Because the half forward is off chasing kicks and not presenting as a forward option!!!

As do almost all 19yo drafted, the best thing is that he is 6 years off his peak and already has half of 50 games under his belt by the time he is 25 he will have(Injury permitting) over 120 games and a great size, he will be a star player for us.

You can't seriously blame pettifer for that, I'm sure if he stayed in the forwardline and presented you would bag him for being selfish and lazy. He would also only be doing what the coach tells him to otherwise he would get dropped, so no doubt terry tells him to go up the ground

pettifer has had his chances at this footy club i would much rather see the tigers persist with a player of the attitude and skill level of shane edwards who is still a little under developed put plays alot like dale thomas IMO.than kayne pettifer who still struggles to do the basic fundamentals against good opposition week in week out.he wasnt even travelling that well at the burgers im not quite sure why we brought him back in but i think his days are numbered.

I agree that i would prefer edwards than pettifer, its just the reasons given by goldust that i dont agree with

Don't rate the kid at all.. has done nothing to impress and never really deserved the low number of #10.
Wouldn't be surprised if he got the sack, Martin McGrath style.

But I'll bite. Shane Edwards has been pretty impressive imo. Draft pick 25 odd (not number 10), and has already played 25 odd games of AFL. No doubt he needs to spend more time at Coburg in the midfield and needs to add some kilos but of the many problems at Tigerland, he is not one
