Have heard a few rumors that Tuck wants out of Richmond and many people think he would be ideal for Collingwood's clearance work.

Any thoughts on this?

Not surprised he wants out - if I'm not mistaken he's spent a fair bit of time going around in your twos(?) I like his size and the fact that he seems to have a real dip. Seems to find the footy a fair bit too. What's his downside supposed to be - disposal?

Is Tuck the one with his ears plugged whenever I see him play?

Yep - needs an operation. His downside is that he has a tendency to win the ball from the clearance and just throw it on the boot towards goal.

Id take him now and swap for Obree - same player but Tuck is much more damaging and a bigger body in the pack and actually uses it in packs.

Obree past it - Tuck for 2 years until Beams 21/22.

Agree O'Bree is too old now and ever since Burns left the clearance department has gone down quite a bit.
But don't get me wrong I think the Pie have the best list in the league.

A 2nd rounder perhaps or a straight swap with maybe Ben Reid?

A plodding spud

PFFFFFFFFT

Do you watch football or just the Pies

Could be the missing link

Great in and Under player had a few injuries this year but is always getting clearences and is always getting his hands on the ball is slow alot like swan and has good size would be awesome to grab him for a 2nd rounder and a fringe player

I wtached us get raped in the middle and at stopages on the weekend he should be our number one target

No thanks.

Beams and Sidebottom will both be better. No reason to trade for him.

So Beams and Sidebottom will automatically be better because the 2 good young kids we have good raps on

So we just continue to get raped in the centre for next 3 years untill there ready ???

Or we can ask Obree if he can continue to play untill his 35 love see him at 35 because his no good at what ever age his at atm he is terrible not strong enough and his disposal is a discrace for a person who has played AFL as long as he has

Beams is already better, and Sidey would already be better too with an extra 5kg.

If you'd bother to look at the whole season, rather than just last week, you'd note we've actually been pretty solid in the clearances all year, and will only get better next year.

He would be a good replacement for O'Bree.

Rusty/Beams will be good long term, but they aren't ready to win a big number of clearances like Tuck could.

So if we can get him for a 3rd rounder I'd probably go with it. Not sure if Richmond would though.

No way Beams is better then a fit Tuck you are overrated Beams big time there Tuck is a great clearence player

Im not saying Beams wont be better but lets be fair he isnt better then Tuck

Both are smarter footballers. Both are better kicks.

The only thing they are missing is the mature body.

I'd take Tuck if he were free. That's pretty much about it.[/QUOTE]

I'm not even going to bother pointing out how ridiculous these proposals are.

I'm just going to suggest that you come back after the trade period and compare the deals you proposed here to the one that actually occurred.

I don't see how they are ridiculous half the Collingwood supporters commenting are saying about a 2nd rounder.
And Ben Reid doesn't even get a game at Collingwood so I really don't see your point.

Come back with a clue. Are we going to develop a first round draftee to the point where he is dominating the VFL at CHB and then trade him for a much older, average player who will be surpassed by younger midfielders already at the club?

You say it like Collingwood is Richmond. Reid only started playing CHB this season and would be close to our best performed VFL player. At a lower club, he would have played most of this season.
