It was a high pressure game, and silly turnovers and decisions with the footy cost us on quite a few occasions.

We got smashed in the middle, why Richards gets a game has got me stuffed. Our conversion continues to be sh*thouse, as does our ability to keep the ball in our forward 50m and opposition sides continue to run the ball out of defence with relative ease.

We didnt get smashed in the middle - We had 9 more clearances,3 less hitouts and 8 more tackles than the Hawks. The game was lost at converting for goal which what matters in the end.

The difference between to teams was rocca.

I thought Reid did exactly what he would have done. Taken a couple of marks and sprayed the kicks. Hawthorn looked flat and stood up in the last quarter when needed. I was really impressed with Collingwood, a very disciplined and well coached side.

Rocca doesn't miss many marks, and if he was playing on gilham well we could what he did on Zac Dawson. You don't win games without your best players and thats what happened tonight, if we had had O'brien and Rocca in well we most likely would of won.

As good as Ben Reid was (don't get me wrong, he was good) Rocca would have been better, and that was the difference, he would have kicked 4 goals tonight considering the amount of ball that went in their (our forward line). However, we can only play with what's avaliable, and he wasn't avaliable so that's irrelevant now.

I happy with tonight, but will beat them in September.

way too many handball turnovers.. demoralising stuff i reckon..

No you shouldn't, we beat you in every area except ruck.

our forward line is better than your backline, your mids are better and your forward line is better than our backline with the injuries, and you guys are not doing that well this year, i don't see why we shouldn't win

T.Cloke on S.Fisher.. then who do you have?? Attard will play on Didak.

Our midfield is much better than you.. and will be the difference

Considering who we didn't have playing it was a very good effort , but once again our finishing cost us.
We may be in trouble for a few more weeks , but if this side continues it's progress while getting back atleast 4 of it's most important players , we will be a very strong side to contend with.

Thought you guys killed us in the first half and couldn't believe we were still in it - innacurate kicking certainly helped us.

So much to like about the Pies though - every kid coming through looks the goods and the adherance to the game plan is unbelievable.

That was a cracking game and they should be quite happy with the endeavour. Probably the best game of the round as a spectacle.
Finishing needs some work.
Medhurst was good. Wouldn't have run 5m for a tackle last year let alone 50m.

I loved that medhurst tackle.

He does some really stupid things though, im not sure what to make of him.
