Grigg has really improved in the past weeks after a very shaky first game back. Disposal is much better and relishing his role in the centre.

Yes Grigga did well and his disposal efficiency was really high. But his disposals did not have that much effect. He did play really well though but i think he will be a Carrazzo like player and be able to rack up lots of touches but not being too effective with them.

But well played last night.

Well I think the MC need to stop stuffing him around, give him an extended run, he is a very good player needs game time and confidence, and for that to happen he can't keep getting dropped after one week.

This bloke will play a lot of AFL football. Lets hope the powers that be realise this and it will all be all in Navy Blue. :)

Gives some grunt in traffic, which is something we lack. :thumbsu:

Can play. Could really turn into a stoppage king, similar to Priddis. Should have been above Hadley and McLean in the pecking order from day dot.

I think criticism was pretty unfair of his first game this year to be honest.

It looked like he made a few stuff ups, but I think it was more to do with needing time to gel with the team, but also other guys making his disposal look worse than it was.

i.e. the handball that hit Robinson on the back of the head.

Grigg got the ball in a bit of space, but with a player or two bearing down on him. Bombing it long isn't the preferred option - obviously he'd be looking for the handball to run it out.

Robinson was that link up man, and should have been watching him in anticipation for the handball.

Grigg did the right thing, yet Robinson's lack of support left him looking like an idiot.

Should have been there from the start. The MC seems to have the balance about right. Like Ellard, Grigg has toughened up the midfied see his role as a Lenny Hayes style, skills will improve with game time.

The best news from this game IMO. Great to see him back on track after a terrible 2009. He's a class mid, and a welcome addition to our midfield rotation. 190cm, very fast, tough, good inside and outside. And when his confidence is up he's an excellent kick of the footy. Thought he showed a lot in the first 1/2 when we were a bit shaky.

:)

I think criticism was pretty unfair of his first game this year to be honest.

Couldn't agree more. He had three clangers in the first half against Brisbane (and wasn't alone), and then played his way into the game in the second half.

He's a very handy link man for Carlton's attacking mids, he's a good runner and he can play a variety of roles.

Best game I've seen him play for the club last night. None of those 1970's bombs to no-one, really good inside. Hope the GC rumours amount to nothing as he really could develop into a key mid for us.

Played really well last night, and has improved in each game he has played this year, which is all you can ask. Really hope the GC rumour is bullshit.

Here's an article about him

"I personally like to help Juddy. He gets a lot of attention and I try to free him up with a block or by giving him the pill. I know if I do that it will go a long way to us winning," Grigg said.

29 touches himself and still very focussed on his role within the team, great to hear :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Always knew this kid had talent, now he just needs a long run in the team and get his confidence up, another big body, who is pretty quick as well.

I remember Grigg playing some awesome footy late in season 2008. Always knew he had bucketloads of talent. 2009 was just a disaster for him, but he's bounced back nicely.

:)

Great game by Grigga. 2 months ago I really thought we wouldn't feel the loss too much if GC rumours are true. After the past 2 games I'm starting to think it might be a HUGE loss.

Love the guy.....but if there's any BASIS to the GC rumours he needs to be flicked immediately in favour of getting games into a future CFC player!!

Last week I wasnt that fussed in Grigg going to GC.

Now I really want him to stay.

Committing the sin of basing my opinion off the back of one game against the bottom team.
