In 2007, second year of uni, I got right into listening to John Laws everyday. Was pretty interesting listening but it was clear that by then he was pretty much phoning it in. He didn't really have a breadth of knowledge and was just looking for 12am to roll around before he could hit Otto's for his long lunch.

Still have his last radio show on podcast.

A random point as they arnt really shock jocks but how did Kyle and Jackie O get away with back in 2009 forcing a 14 year old girl hooked to a lie detector to confess she had been r*ped live on radio? How are they still on the air after that? Surely there is nothing worse you could do then that?

Kind of annoys me about radio in general. Faceless people with no ethics or responsibility for what they say or do

I'm gathering your not an avid listener of 5AA?

Leon Byner is the opposite of Shock Jock. He helps out people in need of legal advice and help with government issues. He doesn't even attack politicians. He gets them on his show if he can and then poses the questions the public want to ask. He pretty much is the voice of the people to an extent.

He said the hispanic fruit pickers were responsible for spreading disease through food.

Said a female Greenie he just interviewed had lots of facial hair.

Called homosexuals unnatural.

Said it was appropriate for Sheila Dikshit to be called that because she's Indian.

And Channel 10 have picked him up for next year!

Sounds awesome. I'mma have to tape that. Just some lunatic melting down on air everyday. Sure it encourages the bastards, but it's mostly an act. Bolt and every shock jocks play it up to a degree.



And +1 Howard Stern. Listen to his call somewhere on Youtube during the morning of the 9/11 attacks, as him and his team are watching it in the studio on the TV's and just reacting. Seems like surreal stuff.

Also 'Private Parts', the movie on his life gets a decent amount of play on the Foxtel movie channels, it's not a bad film at all.

On my frequent trips to NZ, I'd never ceased to be amazed that he had a job.

Is this another Gina Rinehart selection like Bolt?
