As our Prime Minister said, "Tonight, was a terroist attack on Australians and our Australian way of life."

They want to divide us through fear and hat

We will not be divided we stand as one against this terrible traged

How is it dividing us? I think dividing us would be the last consideration on the minds of these perps.

It's 1 minority slaughtering members of another minority that the majority wouldn't care enough about either way, just that it was carried out in Australia.

If it was Benbrika and his crew pulling off an attack during a big game of footy at the MCG, like they were planning, or an attack on another Victorian institution that they were planning (this one suppressed), then we could seriously talk about divisions.

but it was related to Islam, so no phobia about it champ, these creatures continue to bring death and misery to every country they emigrate to
So you're quite happy to blame an entire community for the actions of a few? Like the gunmen did? Which side does that put you on then?

the gunman in NZ was an Australian.

And were there any issues with calling his ideologies whack job?

If I recall nobody had an issue with deriding, hating on whatever nonsense he believed in as people openly should of.

There are only a few ideologies in Australia that seem to always be the ones who throw up the biggest radicalised dangerous nutjobs in the countries.

Only one of them seems to get plenty of backing from people who are more than happy to deride the other ideologies on that list.

We live in Australia.

So like the Assyrian Priest who was stabbed last year in Sydney...
Of course, let’s discount it because of who the victims were even though it happened in a country that is our trans Tasman neighbour.

Could you be anymore transparently Islamophobic?

Be specific about his ideology though. He didn't commit that act of terrorism because he is Australian, or right wing, or white etc. He was a far-right white nationalist/supremacist. Should muslims be afraid of right wing people in general or right wing racist extremists? Just like it's irrational to fear all Muslims, the overwhelming majority of whom are peaceful, but rational to fear Islamic extremism.

The firearm issue will rise again. I am concerned about how they got hold of these.
They are standard run of the mill guns - you could probably have one in a few months if you started the process today.

This whole thing would have been (even more - a lot more) diabolical with automatic or semi automatic weapons.

Then why is it in Australia only one religious ideology that seems to throw up these type of radicals?

Peaceful means nothing.

The majority of sovereign citizens are "peaceful".

Doesn't mean they don't share similar views to the SC extremists.

We saw that first hand too.

Unfortunately nutters like Hanson will be in full divide mode today. Sky will give her plenty of oxygen as well.

Thomas Sewell says hi…

Why does it have to be a religious ideology? It’s an ideology. Hateful.
