How many months of jail do you think the leadership group should give him?But that was the punishment for being out late and drunk etc. There should be more to come when they punish for the actual assault.

Essendon star Michael Hurley's bid to avoid a criminal conviction over an alleged assault on an Indian taxi driver has been dealt a blow.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Dan Muling said the charges were too serious for the diversion program, in which first-time offenders can avoid conviction by payment of a fine or voluntary community work
The court was told Hurley kicked and punched his victim and put him in a headlock but the footballer said he had no memory of the incident.

When the chief magistrate talks about the seriousness of the charges, it doesn't auger well for Hurley.

Yeah so Hurley lied in front of a court of law? You've never been so blind drunk that you basically lose all memory? I have and looking back, it's a very scary thing to happen - I could've done anything and I wouldn't have known any better.
If I had done something like Hurley and could not remember a thing about it, I would be horrified and I'd imagine that Hurley is too.
Should Hurley do jail time for assaulting a cab driver if the allegations against him are proven? Let's say 3 to 6 months.
If you don't think assault is worthy of jail time, what do you think is a more appropriate punishment?
The racist git should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

Yeah he should do time, but got a slap on the wrist instead, just encourages the idiots out there to go around bashing people up knowing that you can get away with it.
