There's no tennis player in the world that deserves to win a Wimbledon title and a Davis Cup more than Pat Rafter.
If it's going to take him 6 months to get over his arm injury and regain his motivation and desire to succeed, so be it.
Let's just hope he does return and achieves what most of the Australian sporting public believe he deserves.

Personally, I would like him to have a break, miss the first two GS's, and come back before Wimbledon.
Like Sainter, he deserves a Wimbledon and Davis Cup win, and I think that flame still burns inside of him, and the desire will tempt him back.

He obviously wants a break, so he should have a break and come back. Maybe in his time off he will regain the motivation to continue playing top line tennis!!

Apparently he is goign to have to sit out 6 months, because he is starting to get stress fractures in his arm.
He should come back though, play Davis cup either next year or the followign year.

Have a break, and let him watch a few Grand Slams from the sidelines... and hopefully he'll realise how much he misses tennis and will come back.
His arm needs the rest, and after a while of realising he has retired to early, he will *hopefully* come back and win Wimbledon

I wouldnt want to play for a team in which every single player hated me. Remember.....the Scud won the Davis cup for us.
