So the AFL approve of players telling the public they have no idea about the details of their treatment, including the substances used, despite the fact it flies in the face of the AFLs own anti-doping policy?Congratulations on being everything that the AFL and it's clubs would hope. And I mean, "gullible".
Here's the tip, Mxett. It's obvious you haven't contemplated this before, but the AFL and it's clubs feed the media with rubbish and half truths constantly. So the AFL approve of players telling the public they have no idea about the details of their treatment, including the substances used, despite the fact it flies in the face of the AFLs own anti-doping policy?
And you call me gullible....lol
Except he described a scenario the AFL would be horrified by, a player openly admitting he receiving a substance without knowing what it was. What sort of an example was he showing as an AFL player when the AFL and WADA policies state players MUST know what they are receiving? Here's the tip, Mxett. Whether it be Franklin sitting out 6 weeks in 2013 with a hamstring or his sudden 'collapse', Goddard wanting to stay at Saint Kilda, Joe Blogs being 'rested' or injured and missing weeks, etc etc, the list goes on and on and varies from completely innocent to covering up police investigations.
Guerra batted away a question with legitimate ease by playing dumb. You're more than welcome to think that everything that comes out of a players mouth is fact, but if you truly think all AFL players do not know what treatments they are being given, the side effects, the advantages and who else has used or done it because they are quoted as such, then you're exactly what they wanted.

I've just read 17 pages on today's new thread and actually don't have the energy to laugh at this. The AFL are bigger stronger wealthier and have more connections than ASADA. Yet could not charge Essendon with any doping offences. Just Mismanagement, disrepute charges etc. So I fail to see how a small entity like ASADA is going to manage to lay charges and then penalise?
What an utterly stupid thing to say.Except he described a scenario the AFL would be horrified by, a player openly admitting he receiving a substance without knowing what it was. What sort of an example was he showing as an AFL player when the AFL and WADA policies state players MUST know what they are receiving?
You're full of it and you know it. Now stop embarrassing yourself
Yeah, theyd love their players to openly admit they receive treatments without knowing details such as what they're given. What an utterly stupid thing to say.
You think the AFL are not aware that the clubs advise players to not divulge everything to the media?
Just because you're gullible, doesn't mean everyone else is.
Clearly it isn't, but it's no surprise to me that you can't grasp the context of what I'm saying.Yeah, theyd love their players to openly admit they receive treatments without knowing details such as what they're given.
I'm sure its an AFL directive
You are so right thereClearly it isn't, but it's no surprise to me that you can't grasp the context of what I'm saying.

That's not even close to what he saidReally?
Most people would get the impression from that statement that Guerra was injected with something with a long complicated name which he can't be ****** remembering off the top of his head.
But he would have the paper work somewhere if he wanted to get confirmation of the name.
We can pontificate as much as we like, but the AFL has the jurisdiction on whether players continue playing until the tribunal hearing.
You never know the AFL may delay any tribunal until September and give players a six month suspension.
Yaco55,
The motorbike types did that with Anthony West, over a Saad-style stimulant. Gave him a month off.
Guess what then happened ?

The HTB is purely a board in which speculation abounds. Suspensions for doping offences are not ' black and white' or every athlete would get a standard 2 year or 4 year penalty. Which doesn't happen - That is fact.

The overwhelming majority DO get a two year penalty though. Which is a more relevant fact.
