Gives us 1, 2, 6* and our second rounder (any sliders, ideally Fred), Davies and Starc. Get it done.

Grab 3 of Duursma, Sharp, Cummings or Robey plus Banfield with Davies and Starc and I'd be absolutely stoked

They can demand anything they want but the fact they're already getting 2 free agents means if he were to go anywhere else they'd lose him for nothing. That being the case we can offer them a pick in the 30s and tell them we won't bid on Annable with any of our picks as a gesture of good will and they should take it with a smile on their faces. If they aren't happy with that they are free to match our offer to Starc and force a trade, but something tells me they won't be doing that.

Despite all that I have a terrible feeling that Matt Clark is going to prove again that he has no ability to read the room and we are going to overpay for Starcevich despite us holding all the leverage here.

Its such an AFL thing to do.

Deny the FA compensation protection, but give Eagles an end of R1 pick instead. We cop all the heat for getting a handout, meanwhile Brisbane gets a R1 draft pick for a player they otherwise would have received no compensation for.

Along with Allen & Draper for free & Annable for spare change, the 3-peat grand finalists are looking like being a permanent fixture in the Grand Final for years to come.

Jokes on AFL. We'll trade any end of first round priority pick, and a later pick (~35 we get for Chesser) for Starc and Brisbane's first rounder. Their first rounder will be eaten up in matching so them sliding back 1 (if they win) 2 (if they lose) in exchange for pick 34 is worth it to them.

Also meets the AFL requirements for us to trade the pick for a player.

End up with 1, 2, 15, 18* (lions first), 20* (our 2nd), 33*.

Package up to move up to get Port pick from Suns, while still having a pick late first, early second for a slide Fred/Curtin etc.,
