Should we go after keating?

The age is saying if we offload zantuck we might go after clark Keating. what would be the point of that he is old and injury prone. since he is only ever fit in september we would be effectively paying him for nothing. thoughts?

Love the way he rucks, but too injury prone, the risk of paying him the salary he would want compared to how many games we would get out of him is too great.

Also, I'd prefer to get another ruck who is younger than Simmonds, we are rebuilding to be successful in a few years, getting an older ruckman now means he will be gone by the time we are finally ready. Stafford is the guy who is there now as a stop-gap while our kids come through, we don't need another.

We need a nice balance of ages and skills:
Stafford 30ish
Simmonds 26
Hall 24
Recycle 20-24
Draftee 18

Id take Hadley in a heart beat over anyone else in the PSD if he is available..However 2 things a) it all depends on the Zantuck situation who we can afford!
b) if was available id say the pies would put a bid in and make sure they put him out of reach from at least us.

i'd take keating over mckee any day,and i hear we might pick up that
dud in the psd.

Didn't Mckee play for us once? if so surley that tells the club theres a reason why he isnt at our club.

That is why we are letting him go IMO , I reckon they are after one from left field in the PSD .... we shall see

As for Keating , that will not happen . Does not make any sense , with two established and experienced ruckmen in Simmonds and Stafford , why in the hell would we want a third ???????????

I fully believe with our third pick ( pick 12 ) we will pick the best available junior ruckman . The boffins who are up with all the prospects in the national draft will be best placed to tell us who the best prospect will be but for mine that makes the most sense.

Any young kid will learn wellfrom those two

Keating only playes 2 games a year. Prelim and GF.

With our list rebuilding, he wont be playing much footy for a few years!!!
