The dumbest footballer we have, I would take a top 20 pick without hesitation as the issues he has will never ever be fixed (footy smarts, disposal, accountability and shoulders)
I will be feril if they hang onto him like they have with Carrazzo, Houlihan and Scotland hoping they will turn it around or develop their areas of concern and now we are stuck with them without any currency value.

What about Rischitelli?? I hear he is not happy and a straight swap would be a good deal for us. Inside midfielder who can run a bit better then Hadley and McLean etc.
Rischitelli wouldn't want a deal with Carlton he said he was upset getting offered to us.

Guys, was he the dumbest footballer we had against Adelaide?
Geelong?
Port Adelaide?

He got 3 x BOG's.

That Adelaide game was the best game I had seen him play. Looked determined, disposals were excellent and was running through the middle from the backline, really using that pace.

He has the armor to be a very good player, I would hold onto him.

This brings me to another point, when we were playing well we would take on the game and break the lines from defence. Daring runs through the middle from our back half - from Russell, Walker, Scotland, Bower.. Haven't seen that type of run for some time.

Which brings me to another point(sorry to ramble): I can't really think of a player who is on top of his game right now. A player who has confidence, is feeling good and one that you know will win their position. Not one. Simpson would be the closest but I wouldn't say him, because he has been getting alot of the ball in the 2nd half when the game has been lost. Not even Juddy. And from there it's a long way to the next player.

Tried to move him during the preason, nobody wanted him.

Has performed his usual feat of throwing a couple of rippers in then returning to being plain ordinary.

We live in hope.

Says it all really if that is true, no one else wanted him and we use him as our quarterback and think he is our great white hope!!!

Yer listen my comment was pretty harsh probably, but when you consider his injury history, why would you want to take a risk with him.

Do we want to keep him, almost at all costs?Or do we think his usage is poor and his shoulders sketchy, and so therefore maybe it would be a good move to ship him off. Would probably be worth a bit in a trade so could be used to either get a decent pick or a player that fills a need.
On the one hand I think his usage is still a worry and I'm not convinced it will ever be totally reliable, but on the other hand he shows everytime he gets back from injury that he has the ability to cover the ground and amass possessions. He looms as an enormous possession getter, and has pace, but his usage lets him down badly.

Forget usage and his skills. As all he's turned out to be is "an athletic". He can run but always shirks the contest. His is by nature just an athlete trying to play football. Like a few of em!
Clear him for somone who is by nature a "contester" on every occasion.
I also think that Gibbs and Murphy are fitting into the same category. Just receivers. we only have 4 "getters". They are Judd, Simpson, Waite and Betts.
The rest are p1ss poor. It's not just Saturdays performance that suggests that. Most of the footy world know that if you let the Blues get the easy ball they are hard to beat. Hit em hard and they don't have the cattle who love the contested ball.:(:thumbsd:

would like to see him tried at ff, has good pace, run & a russell robertson type leap. I know his kicking isnt great, but its also not great at quarterback. He's a good enough athlete to take some good marks and at least have shots on goal

How well do you think that shoulder will hold up flying for marks and hitting the ground, He cant stick a tackle now and he is not our answer up forward so I suggest try and package him up with someone to get a developing big forward or a reasonable pick.

Agreed he nevers looks like taking any of those speccy marks.

He has played some good games, but has too many flaws to do it consistently.
