I know this is garbage news but I flicked onto channel 10 and on the Neighbours ad for the next episode I swear I saw Clint Bizzell acting (and as a footballer).

I always thought he was a gun defender. He was our defence general (the role I hoped Rivers would fill and he still could). Good to see him kicking on after footy.
 
What was he like? I've never watched it.

On the neighbours ad he was wearing a suit and looking damn sharp. I'm going to make a note to watch it tomorrow.

I remember he used to plow his general into Fiona Horne's bags - well, hopefully he can be AFL's answer to NRL's Ian Roberts, without all the ass-rooting.

didn't see it either. but according to sam pang of the rrr breakfasters he upstaged Shane Bourne with his inspiring portrayal of a night watchman
 
remember when he presented matt damon with a demon jumper back in 04?
 
I'm watching it tomorrow night as well, I think he's acting as an agent for one of the characters who wants to be an AFL player.

Sure is looking damn sharp, wish the Biz well :thumbsu: .

I miss the biz, i liked him at Geelong and the day i found out we traded Girgic for him i was over the moon and quickly became my favourite player, he had courage thast for sure. Two lasting memories of the biz;

2002 late in the season against the dogs, dived full length superman like to smother a mitch hahn shot on goal he smothered it all right and did so with a broken hand.

2002 SF vs Adelaide, on the hbf members wing. Punches the ball away from his opponent, chases after the ball toe pokes it away from another player, dives full length into the ball to tap it away from a crows player only for it to land in another crows player hands he then Bizzell proceeds to tackle him the ball spills free over to Bruce, Bruce to Vardy and vardy kicks an absolute suasage roll from the boundry line on his left foot!!!

The good times!

Gotta say he's not the greatest actor but good on him for having a shot. But then again are there any good actors on Neighbours? haha
 
Am I the only one that thought his girlfriend was hot but not quite good enough for Clint Bizzell?

I mean come on...

Great passage of play, I'll never forget that.

From memory Yze kicked a very similar goal to Vardy in the same game.

Not that long afterwards either.

Though Yze was left-footed and under a lot less pressure than Vards. Terrific game of football that one. Who could forget TJ's third term.
 
I was sitting near a guy who had several thousand on Adelaide. Let's just say that his mood changed between quarter and 3 quarter time.

Correct, except Vardy probably looked inbaord for an option, whereas OOOOZZZZAYYY! would of had the blinkers on and would of seen nothing else except the goals!

Still maintain it was the best 2 quarters (2nd and 3rd quarters) of football ive seen Melbourne play, lead by T.Johnstone!
 
He was on Monday yeah? I missed it then and today too. Was he on today?

Is he going to have an ongoing part or is it just a cameo?

Only showbiz could get me into watching such a garbage show...

...better than Home and Away though haha...
 
i heard he was given a 5 week contract on neighbours. also heard a rumour about him going to be on underbelly
 
one distinct passage i remember about that 2002 semi final was Darren Jolly tapping it down to T. Johnstone and then him running and kicking a goal (cant remember if it was 2nd or 3rd quarter) but that passage of play simply gave me goose bumps
