Siegert should get more games!

I reckon this guy is a potential gun, whenever he gets a game he plays pretty well and I reckon if he got a few games in a row he'd really step up! One area we are really lacking in right now is skills and I think Siegert's are pretty silky and yesterday he really attacked down the centre and helped drag our gameplan back into the centre corridor. His only fault is he's lacking a little in speed!

Anyone else got any opinions on him?

Certainly seemed to be one of the bright lights in yesterday's game. How many disposals did he end up with. He was on 14 before half time if I remember correctly!

22 from the stats. I missed the game (was at a Cousins wedding ) so I'm going from word of mouth.

Maybe. He's certainly a better bet than McManus. But his disposal is still ordinary, the sort of player you play when you've got injuries and your other blokes are too young or too crap.

I thought Grover was impressive for you fellas yesterday too, looks to have improved his disposal and hardness at the footy.

I thought Grover was in best players again (had him in there last week too) and I was pretty impressed with Siegert. He is a depth player but he's a depth player we need.

Has a good size to him.

The problem with Siegert is that he lacks pace and his skills aren't great, and we already have plenty of players in that mould. He also plays well first up then struggles the week after sometimes (like TLo, and he did the same for the blues). What he has going for him though is that he is strong, disciplined, a good size and always gives 100%

Agree with most of what you said but I think his skills have improved, did not see him miss a target with his disposal on Saturday. He has a good football brain is and is tough as nails.
