now all we have to do is await the analysis tomorrow in the sunday mail how the crows were beaten at their own game...

I say, a 3 point loss to the unfavoured tigers will probably teach us more than just beating them today

I'm more annoyed that we only lost by 3 points, yet 50% of the game was richmond just kicking to themselves. Why didn't we man up, or after we worked out they were just going to chip it around, why didn't we change our tactics to stop this...and the commentary was abysmal

Ahhh media, I've been giving my boss sh*t all week. I'm gonna get drilled, can't say I don't deserve it. :o

The only positive that can come from the game - just like the West Coast one - is that even when we play absolutely atrocious footy and lose we're still not even a goal worse than the opposition.

I genuinely believe there were zero positives today.

there weren't too many positives, but like dyertribe said, if we play as utterly :D:D:D:D and poorly as we did today, away from home, second week on the road, and only fall by 3 points, that's gotta be a shining light....granted it was against the tigers but honestly, who thought they wouldn't put up a fight against what was tipped to be their next triple digit margin loss?

The only *real* positive today is that our Premiership odds with lengthen, so get on it, cause of course we will still win the whole thing! :)

There are always positives, especially in round 8. Every now and then a good team needs a reality check.

I hope your sarcastic, nothing is guaranteed. Is that smile there for that?

If the club tells us it's another "fantastic learning opportunity" I think I'll puke.

No, no saracasm. For the first time since 97/98 I seriously believe that we are the goods. The only thing that can hinder us is the success can go to our heads, which leads to arrogance and sloppy planning, which equated to the result today.

A shock loss *occassionally* can be a welcome kick in the pants. I still believe that we will finish Top 4, get a home final, and go all the way.

I am sure that our hardcore training will even go up another notch after today's dismal effort, so that will help the long term.

not a "fantastic learning opportunity", I just mean if we had got up by a couple of points it would have hidden a lot of then problems of today, sure the 4 points would've been VERY useful in a season that seems fairly even, but maybe it was a wake up call we needed earlier in the season than in say late in the season, or finals time....if we make it (on todays performance :S)

Look forward to playing you boys in the big one in September this year...it will be a battle of the super coaches

You are optimistic, I will give you that. The Tigers are more likely to play off in the SMALL ONE between either Essendon, North or Carlton.

You posted that at 4:50. One minute earlier:

Wallace masterminds Richmond AFL victory

The Crows did not adapt well until the last quarter and Craig took some of the blame for his players not manning up better on their opposition.

"That could be a level of criticism of myself on that, to allow that to happen," he said.

But Craig saw it as ultimately a good learning experience for his highly-fancied team.

If that's the case what's that say about your club then Mr Crow?.:D

A two point loss to West Coast can hardly be compared to a three point loss to Richmond. Based on both teams form, the loss yesterday was equivalent to a 15 goal loss in my book.:(
