Troy McClure is apparently based on B grade actors Troy Donahue and Doug McClure.

Man Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz were brilliant, in fact every character Phil Hartman did was a pisser.

Dr Hibbert - Got to be loosely based on Dr Huxtable from The Cosby Show

His voice was.

Homer's voice was also basically a Walter Mathieu impression.

Dr Hibbert was based on Cosby, especially in earlier seasons when the Cosby show was their ratings rival on a few episodes he's in Cosby-esque sweaters.

Moe's voice was based on a bad impersonation of Al Pacino in some movie.

The 'wiseguy' (sarcastic shop keeper usually) is based on Charles Bronson.
