Didn't see a thread about this, so thought I'd start one.

Currently playing through the game at the moment and I must say it's very impressive so far.

A nice solid FPS. It borrows elements of many previous titles, but it does them very well.

I bought it last week for $69 at JB and believe it's listed as $64 on the Dick Smith catalogue

A very nice title fans of FPS should check out

Yep would agree with you, some great graphics the Quad core handles easily. Also some moments in the game that made me jump .

Well worth a look as its very atmospheric.

Finished this game today.

After picking it up for $18 from OzGameShop a couple of weeks ago, always been a title I was looking to get and play through eventually.

Was a very enjoyable game. Having come off the back of X-Men Origins Wolverine, by the same dev, using the same tech. It's surprising how well it all holds up. I played some Spec Ops on MW3 last week and that looked horrible in comparison to either of these games graphically, just not even close.

Gameplay wise, while the shooting is a bit slower than most games it wasn't bad by any means. And all the guns are actually very fun to use, I liked that you could pick and choose any gun at almost any time to use and you also got the special guns to use with their own specific powers applied to them sporadically through the game.

In terms of the big gimmick for the game, that was a very enjoyable facet of the game. The time manipulation stuff was really fun and throughout the game you're able to use it on so much stuff, which really makes it a meaningful gimmick. Also liked how you could go back to the past, but would've liked some more of that as the clash of looks and gameplay was great.

There's a heap of stuff taken from other games. The first 3rd of the game feels really Bioshock like, even the sound of picking up E99 (the currency in the game) sounds like I think it's the mini-game sound in Bioshock, more on the Bioshock theme is the fact that there are projectors you can play that show very similar looking videos to Bioshock's Propaganda themed video showing how cool and underwater city would've been (in Singularity it's this island Katorga 12). There's also recordings left around the place for you to listen too, although these are stagnate and you can't listen to them on the go like in Bioshock. There's some Half-Life in the puzzle/platforming and TMD (Time Manipulation Device) powers. There's plenty of other game similarities that could be made.

Really enjoyed the 3 endings too, although the 'good' ending is cut a little short. The 2 bad endings have a great little story bit at the end, which wasn't in the good one, would've liked that.

Well worth a look if you want a 10 or so hour game for only $18 with a decent story and good gameplay hooks.
