I have posted some pretty despicable/indefensible and worse things in the past to be fair, so I am not going to take some moral high ground here.

I do get frustrated with a lot of the Jack Silvagni slander generally on the bay though. The kid has missed almost 2 full years of footy previously through injury and come back and had an amazing/career best season and still cops a lot of flak here (I dunno if it's due to his Father who is a pretty polarising figure)

I don't think it's really a coincidence that Carlton fell apart after JSOS went off to be honest.

He has become a much more valuable player than many people realise.

If Willie was provoked racially or from family slurs on field (which apparently he may have been), I think those threats which not condoned or justified, can be understood.

I.am.a bit old school in that if you talk smack.to someone on field (especially cruel or demeaning slurs) be shocked if you get some form of consequence in retaliation.

That old adage of Sticks and Stones won't break my bones etc is a complete pile of nonsense.

Anyhow I suppose your are entitled to your opinion. I will continue to back and support Jack Silvagni to the hilt. And I am very proud of him and all the adversity he has overcome (injuries/rehab etc)

We haven't heard Willie's side of his story and why he was provoked into those threats ?

If the players he threatened truly felt unsafe/uncomfortable, why didn't they go to the AFL and or police and press charges ?

The media and AFL are very quick to bury this story, insiders from the Media like Scott Gullan and Caroline Wilson firmly believe that racist slurs played a significant part in Willie's behaviour/threats.

The AFL wants to bury its head and forget about the whole saga though..

I would like to hear from Willie and the reasons why he did what he did.

I have PTSD from a childhood of physical and sexual assault and abuse from a family member, one that's left me with deep scars till this day (in fact same family member came back to our 3 weeks ago, destroyed all my valuables including TV, PS5 and Nintendo Switch and I honestly thought was going to kill me)
