Only he could've kicked that goal...

Dwayne Russell summed him up well..... "That is Steve Johnson in a nutshell".

For all the criticism he has copped, he has improved since he was omitted after the Bulldogs game. 2 very good games at TD (Round 7 and Round 11).

When he made that crucial error kicking across goal and getting smothered last week, he was doing it through a team-oriented minset, which is a positive.

Keep persisting with him, boys.

He'll be relegated to the same page as Ronnie Burns.

Capable of flashes of brilliance. Especially snapping from the boundary or dribbling through sneaky goals.

However, absolutely useless from a set shot.

Good to get fans in, but useless when it comes to winning games - let alone a premiership.

He could be the opposite. Players like him can snatch you games. If we are to win a premiership in the next 3-4 years, he will be in the 22.

You know what's in a nutshell, don't you? Probably sums up SJ as well - also the comment about Russian Roulette

You'd have to persist with him after that goal - never seen a one-handed banana before

SJ in a nutshell is being able to pull off the most brilliant goal you have ever seen and then stuff it up on a set shot or a straight forward shot at goal at a crucial time. He is in short, another Ronnie Burns.

What has that to do with my post you quoted?

He has made a few mistakes, but he is on the right track at least.

well, it was undisciplined for one and not team oriented. if that was woja you would call for him to be dropped.

and that kick that you were referring to was to rooke who was covered by 3 weagles.

he has to stop doing the flashy crap and just concentrate on the game.

I don't think he had a great game by any stretch of the imagination...but against Essendon (besides that banana goal of course) he seemed to stick to the basics alot more and with that came better results.

We all love to see the freakish goal now and then...but unless we have 22 Gary Abllet Snrs running around...I don't want to see it all the time.

When he got the ball before he kicked that freaky goal, i said "bloody SJ hasnt done anything tonight!"

3 seconds later he snapped it! I was paid out by my mates for that.

Apart from that, he didnt play very well though.
