Desperately need a small defender, Campbell Brown type of player..
Yes we do.....
Dempsey - looks a little loose and cant get his body right
Welsh - Tries hard but just too slow
Slattery - Unfortunatley the best one we have defensively (Horrible when he gets the ball)
Rama - Too slow
NLM - gets done by the true smalls when it hits the deck
Houli, Dyson, Winderlich - Are not defenders
Nash - Good going forward but gets beaten to often
The big problem is we need mids, and another 2 key backs almost as much. Infact the only place where we have decent depth is talls and smalls up forward. If this is a Xmas list throw in a ruckman as well!

Reimers and Slatts are suffice for now. How bout we fix our midfield so the back six are not under siege for 80% of the game and see how they go then..
Rama would have kept Motlop in check today, he is smarter than our other optins. But thats neither here nor there I guess.
I may be a bit over-emotional and illogical right now, but would there have been value in giving Stanton a defensive-50 opponent at some time? When all the others had failed.
...it is not unusual to see Stanton in defense anyway...
...but it is generally picking up a kick round the back of the mark...
...and that kick is generally sideways...
...a habit that causes us to have one less body in the midfield for a moment, the area that we are trying to penetrate...
...unless he was playing at that moment in defense...
