Yep, I have Optus. The delays can be very frustrating with them. There have been quite a few times when someone has blamed me for ignoring their messages or pretending I didn't receive them. When in fact it was Optus' fault.

Argh, I hate that. One time a girl who messaged me would never talk to me again cos she said I was ignoring her and another got pretty narky when a message asking me out arrived a week later.

I've got Optus, and I've never had a prob with getting or sending SMSs. That I'm aware of, that is.
Now I'm getting paranoid - what SMS messages haven't I been getting?

There are places on the net that you can send for free and type using your computer. Most a restricted to a certain amount of smss per day for everyone.

Only problem is that it takes up to 3-4 hours to send the SMS, while with a normal carrier it is only 5-10 seconds.
