Schmidt was good, Jaencsh showed some signs although turned it over a couple times trying to take the game on and Petrenko had his best game of the year so far. Doughty was awful again and Burton was miscellanous. He did some good things but cost us 2 goals with some stupid decisions in the last quarter.

Craig doesn't have the coconuts to pine some of the older blokes even though they have been flat out bad for 6 weeks now.

He'll blame Jaensch... can't go blaming the older ones who keep stuffing up all the time. It'll be the first gamer still finding his feet and who tried his bloody guts out

i agree Jaensch showed some good signs of things to come (and for his 2 bad turnovers, benefit of the doubt, it was his debut).

Petrenko on the other hand...that was not his best game of the year... he was hardly sighted till the final quarter. i was just thinking about how crap his game was today early in the last quarter...then he suddenly got some possessions, but it was way too late anyway. poor game by him overall.

van Berlo was very bad today. he was amongst the worst players, along with Cook (who can't kick to save a life) and Doughty.
but overall, everyone crumbled in the last term.

Jaensch.

Talented wingman made to suffer in the back pocket instead of using his skill and flair through the middle. Mattner V2.0???

All the while we have a small defender in Petrenko running around the forward 50. Just too stupid for words.

Walker has to come back in. Burton and Stevens offer absolutely no defensive pressure and can't kick for shit. Time for both of them to go.

Ha ha ha - in his presser, he said Stevens was back to his best and looked damaging and Burton was serviceable. He’s not gonna drop either of them for Walker or anyone for that matter. he’s in absolute denial.

Most fired up Craigy has ever been in a press conference. Worried about what he said about Burton, surely he was not serious there.

:eek:......:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said seconds before the final siren when Stevens was lining up for goal that he shouldn't be in the side, copped some crap from people behind me for it too. "He's been one of our BEST PLAYERS, HOW could you say something like that? You are a DISGUSTING supporter!"

Stevens, Doughty and Burton need to be right in the firing line, we just cannot have these working class and/or past their best footballers stalling the development of blokes like Walker who just do not come along very often.

Walker.

"He was too slow, and he was ruining our structure and he wasn't pressuring, and he wasn't laying enough tackles, and he had no defensive pressure, and his pressure was crap, and his pressure was errrrr.....and, and but.....and."

What do you mean he didn't play?

Yeah that was a bit more tense than usual. Some tough questions too.

Rucci: Neil, do you think you have reached a dead end with this team?

Ouch!

Neil fired up and I was actually pleased to hear him defend his players including Burton and the oldies. The old guard are easy targets at the moment and could easily be made the scapegoats. There's enough of us (me included) giving them a bagging and calling for Walker and other kids to come in.

Neil hasn't sold out any of his players yet with his media comments or with his team selections. Not saying that is necessarily a good thing but it is certainly an honourable thing.

He'll blame Myke Cook or Schmidt not the senior players who did nothing in the last quarter.

surely Dogga is in the firing line

Robbie Gray's performance showed that Dogga is now struggling to match up on yoounger, quicker and more agile opponents

All Dogga could do was to hold Gray off the ball and subsequently he was penalised on 2-3 occassions
