Hi all,
The Advertiser here had a comment about Richmond's soft draw this year, playing lots of MCG games and few outside Victoria. While I try to point out to people here that Richmond actually gets few 'real' home games, perhaps its time the club got pushy in this area.
Why not request demand 6 interstate games each year, plus North at Manuka, Hawks in Tassie or wherever anyone else wants to play - in return for 11 home games at the G, including return games against the six interstate teams (real home games). They're keen to play at the G so you might be able to cut a deal with them.
Lets face it, to have consistent success you have to be able to play everywhere. It's no use just hoping to luck out with the draw and this year it didn't help anyway. Plus Richmond would still play a few at Colonial.
Plus I could always see 2 games per year.
