Here's some good news to start the day with.

As expected we've been cleared of any salary cap rorting during the time of Brian Waldron's reign as our CEO.

ST KILDA has been cleared of any wrong-doing in Brian Waldron's era at the club.
The AFL pledged to check the club's books to ensure they complied with the salary cap during Waldron's time at St Kilda from 2002 to '04.

Waldron is the accused architect of serial rorting that resulted in Melbourne Storm being stripped of two titles and premiership points.

The Saints were happy to open their books for AFL salary cap investigator Ken Wood.

News leaks from somewhere, even from organisations who have a duty not to disclose personal information.

Just visiting to say I am glad these guys have had their undisclosed names cleared, I hate it when the media beat up a story for their paper sales.

At least the AFL and Victoria police have investigated and cleared the players of any wrong doing.

I read that yesterday and was disgusted. I beat those people do not release that if the saints wanted to they could track down who posted what and from where and sue them for damages.

All you can do is report individual posts.

On the left hand side, in the part where the users name is, you'll see a number of buttons. Click the one that says "report post". It's a picture of a sign.

I'd encourage you to do that on this board as well. I receive an email everytime a post is reported.

A red card means the user has been suspended for a period of time.

It's probably the same person who felt the need to post one of those pictures on this board.

I'm not having that here.

If you report a post it will send an email to the moderators of that board and it is then up to them if they decide that the posts should stay or go and if the person deserves to be punished.

As I'm not a moderator of Bay 13 I don't have a say on whether the posts in that thread stay or go but I do encourage you to report posts on this board because Kildonan and I can act on them as soon as possible.

No chance, good news stories don't sell papers.

You could maybe understand the salary cap story because Waldron used to work at St Kilda, even though it was pretty obvious there was nothing in it. Of course that doesn't stop all the tools here labelling us salary cap cheats.

The recent story with the schoolgirl though was an absolute disgrace and should never have been a story in the first place. The media deliberately misrepresented the whole situation to make it sound more scandalous than it actually was by saying the players met her at a school clinic. The story served no purpose other than to drag our players and club through the mud again and I doubt it would have helped the girl involved either.

Of course the media won't apologise for any of this and will just wash their hands of it now and move on to inventing another scandal from hearsay and rumour.

That's what the club needed to hear after a horror day in the media yesterday, hopefully no more off field distractions for 2010. It will be interesting to see if Ross can keep the troops focused when they run out for battle Saturday night.

Wow, and to think that some Big Footyers now think the Bay has stopped being a place of wit, insight, humour and incisive commentary, that used to be one of the best parts of the site for a laugh. To think they see it as now THE embarrassment of the entire site, a place where smut-ridden, infantile vultures hover, desperately waiting for ANY WHIFF of a negativity, filth, and "news" that is not only degrading to all involved, but that actually degrades the very people trying to make "humour" out of it. To think, Big Footyers perceive this board's old posters as nothing but bitter, cynical, tired old hacks who can't think of anything new to say but old cliches, trite quips and insults. To think those new posters who seek to post on it now are considered by most to be nothing more than puerile schoolboys without the maturity, intelligence, or finesse to do anything more than insult their way to the next giggle in front of their own computer screen. To think that most Big Footyers used to come here for a laugh, but now avoid here for fear of a cringe.

Yep, you boys have certainly proved us wrong.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Not just because you are jumping off a false story. Not just because you're seeking to laugh at a vulnerable, sixteen year old girl's misfortune. Not just because you seek to use child-molestation as a joke. You should be ashamed for all that. But you can be also ashamed that this place USED to be funny, and you are spitting, snotting, crapping, over the brilliant hilarity and imagination that used to regularly come out of this site. You are a shadow of what this board once was. If some of the old posters who were on here, saw this crap, they would be horrified. Sadly, they are past their best work, or have become so sick of this unmitigated trovel, and have left here, never to return.

You're a disgrace to football. A disgrace to Big Footy. And a disgrace to the Bay itself.

Take a break fellas, and don't come back until you've found some new, DECENT material.
