I was at the BFL Grand Final today and I was able to have a chat with Jimmy Bartel (I used to work with him).

Asked him about his future plans, and he told me that they are discussing a contract at the moment, and all that needs to worked out. I said he is welcome at Melbourne anytime, , but he said his priority is definately to stay with the Cats.

Hope this is some new info for you guys!

He played a few with the Falcons, had too many players in his possie and because of his height (175cm) he missed out. Played out the year with the Ammos and played extremely well for someone who only turned 18 in August. Although they went down today, he was apparently in their best players.

P.S - I'm keen on Bartel at the Dees, but I think his heart is set on Geelong.

Will he look at the VFL?

Must be hard for a kid to accept the fact that he's going to miss out on the big time.

Thanks for that CowboyFH I stated a number of times that it didn't concern me that Bartel wanted to wait to the seasons end to committ. However I was getting a little worried coz the seasons been over for three weeks and we have still havent heard anything. I really hope JB stays a Cat next year.

My brother played in the senior side, and was named the Ammos best player (Ben Lavars) in the Addy, but they spelt his name wrong! If anyone else was there, he was the one wearing No. 5...

P&P - Not sure what he wants to do yet, but I don't think he's too fussed about not making it in the big time. He has a uni course all lined up and I think he is looking strongly at that. He will either stay with the Ammos, which is most likely, or go somewhere like Sth. Barwon or St. Marys, who have apparently shown plenty of interest, with some small interest from Werribee (VFL). I guess we will have to wait and see.

My contacts tell me is that Daniel Giansiracusa is really female. Having discovered this, the Dogs plan to delist him, and apparently Danielle (real name) has been offered a lucrative modelling contract with the Ponds Institute.
