I agree at Time I can be Off the Mark but I also think I can be right at times too.
Why should I not be able to Think?

Brilliant words OptimaxI dont post threads (most of the time) straight after gams so i have time to consider everything, calm down, relax, get some perspective then assess.
All Robert is trying to say to you Dave is, first sit down, assess what happened, look at everything then comment.
My first thought at the match was that all our forwards talls and smalls should **** themselves off to the centrelink, and if i posted that i would have been rightly ridiculed.
Just sit back and think about everything that happened in the game then comment, shooting from the hip is not always the best system

I would never boo the players, I sure as hell didn't cheer them on Saturday either.
Those of you that believe there was 'effort' on Saturday need a rethink. Effort can be something as simple as just running to a contest.
The only players I saw running were Thomas and Beames, the only 2 players I actually cheered on incidentally.
Most of you accepting what happened as a "bad day at the office" aren't addressing a deeper issue with our side and it's ability to perform when it's required.
We actually didn't do 'enough' to win Saturday, it was the demons that couldn't seal the deal, we didn't win the game, they lost it, no more emphasised than Petterd's dropped mark with seconds left.
Petterd takes it, kicks the goal, Demons win, is it still just a 'bad day at the office'?
Yeah, you're right, good sides DO find a way to win games they probably don't deserve to, but GREAT sides do that against OTHER good sides.
Not cellar dwellers.
You wont see Geelong, St.Kilda, the Bulldogs or Hawthorn beat Melbourne by a point regardless of how Melbourne plays.
Shouldn't the Bulldogs have been flat after last week? It's round 2 for god's sake, how can they be flat?
Pretty fair comments there.
Hawks has Cats on toast yesterday but the Cats willed themselves to win against quality opposition. We were playing Melbourne vast difference in playing ability.

A truly great football side doesn't struggle against a team as decidedly bad as Melbourne. Let alone Melbourne missing key players as they were.
