Songs that sound like Thin Lizzy

Been listening to alot of thin lizzy lately..
now some songs from recent times have really made me think of them

ween - gabrielle
the strokes - gratisfaction
the shins - fall of 82
free energy - bad stuff

to name a good few.
such a distinct sound. positive influence on rock no ****ing doubt.

Thin Lizzy were great. They were so diverse - from scorching hard rock, to perfect pop rock to great ballads to funk rock to proto punk. I still reckon they never quite nailed a perfect album but their best songs are as good as band of the era. Live and Dangerous is a must have.

Jailbreak is as close as they got to a masterpiece, I reckon...and Live and Dangerous is a brilliant album, even if it's generally acknowledged as the least live album ever made...

I like em alot, very funky and influential, but I have listened and enjoyed AC/DC from a young age and can't place them Irish lads over the Scotts
