Keeping the Unleashed day stage and Sonic Generations gameplay. Still more hyped for Sonic Mania but this is looking good so far.

Looks like a modern 3D Sonic game to me. People already complaining about it being on rails, personally i've always liked how it breaks up the flow before it switches to the slower more exploration based 2d perspective. It's really not that much different to the classic Sonics where you'd have sections where you could just hold forward and throw in a couple of jumps now and then.

More interested in how the physics are handled with classic Sonic gameplay. Generations didn't quite nail it but with Mania being developed at the same time I really hope Sonic Team are taking notes.

Comes out tomorrow guys. Couple of mixed reviews have hit. Famitsu gave it 35 out of 40 and Destructoid gave it 5/10. Will still get it, want to encourage Sega to pull their finger out and start trying again

Looks good to me based on a lot of video reviews...

i am guessing that some people weren't happy with the story and some of the level designs..

hard to tell unless you play it yourself.

Just got it. Update installed. Trying to get the kids to bed so I can give it a run. Don't like my chances though cause the missus will want me to help fold laundry [emoji34]

According to my stats I'm 40% through. It's certainly no Generations. Controls seem a bit sluggish, enemies (excluding maybe the bosses) are bland and the modern Sonic stages are a bit meh. The custom character is interesting and you definitely very quickly unlock a tonne of accessories to kit him/her out. It's not a terrible game and if you enjoyed Generations and Colours it should be worth picking up especially at a pretty cheap launch price of $59
