The sonic character is great (used to love the sonic comics as a kid, that whole storyline was surprisingly dark). But Mario games are the best. Don't get me wrong the mega drive 2d games were awesome but just about every Sonic 3D game is crap. Compared to Mario where every game in the main series is gold (although Sunshine was a bit bland and not very unique, but still great).
Can't wait until Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I'll be playing as Sonic for sure (unless he turns out crap).

Im a Sonic man myself. Old school mega drive Sonic games were awesome, one he has gone 3D they have been shit. He needs a comeback game on the new next gen consoles. Something that isnt shit.

As far as the actual characters go, i prefer the look of Sonic. In terms of games, i much prefer Mario games.
