I don't think you can hold 1 for Ben. Despite how good he is at 14 there is no guarantee he will end up playing at AFL level.
1 should be for Jack, but Walker is already there.
Tex hasn't got many miles on the clock due to his knee.
I think Jack takes any old number and then inherits 1 (if he wants) once Tex retires, which could be at the end of 2016 or 2017 latest I would have thought.
I don't like the 11 talk, that seems corny. That said, 1 for Jack and 11 for Ben is nice I suppose.
I have a sneaky suspicion Jack will not want 1, I think he'd sooner alleviate himself of as much pressure as possible.
Maybe if he one day starts to really shine he might have the confidence to shift to no.1. But I can see how that in itself is a bit odd.

Seems unlikely Walks would vacate the #1 for a first-year, even one with a famous heritage. I don't mind the next generation of Silvagnis making their own numbers their own.

On a similar line, I quite liked how the three Cloke brothers at the Pies all had numbers in sequence.
