Lol at people pissing and moaning after only 5 bands have been announced. A lot of people said the same after they started announcing the first few bands for SW11. Wait and see.

They did say they had many many bands that wanted to play soundwave but they couldn't fit them on the bill and that is how revolution came about. If this 5 bands is the "many many" it's a very disappointing start.

But I will try and reserve judgement on the "Revolution" until I see the full line up.

Glamour in your avatar btw.

Rancid are rumoured for this as well

Dont think No Sleep will come back again, that was easily the best festival experience i've had

They should be getting a band like Gojira on the bill. I seem them in Germany and they are really, really amazing live.

Was just listening to Gojira yesterday and thinking how much I would love to see them live.

Make it happen Ed.

Rumour is they are waiting to confirm the headline act, negotiating in the UK at the moment so if it isn't a band from the UK it is someone touring there. They were hoping to have the act announced already.

faster louder have some bets up. Personally i'd like for them to get cavalera Conspiracy.
In regards of the UK My chemical romance are playing leeds/reading festivals.
Sonisphere in the Uk also has: weezer, mastodon and anthrax and (gulp) limp bizkit.
realistically, MCR are in my view a high possibility.

From what I've been told, yeah. Foo fighters are out. And Weezer are the band who wont make up their minds.

FF aren't a huge festuval band, doesn't surprise me. They have a problem with other bands and their egos IIRC . and they could probs do etihad stadium on their next tour.

I doubt they will ever do festivals here again, I remember when I saw them back in 2005, he said something like "**** the big day out, this is much better!"

i'd love for him to clarify the "ego" issue, but i have pondered and believe that certain bands demand certain spots on a bill and perhaps annoyed grohl through that.
I'd be ticked a bit these days if i only saw the FF for an hour at a festival these days anyways.
Disappointing as in their day they were the perfect festival band!
