Well it looks like that was what was going to happen even if Thompson isn't announced as coach. The alternative is we enter the period with no coach and the current defacto head of all things football is Ashcroft. Probably why he was on his phone, he might have a lot on his plate.

This is crazy. Just drove from the Sunny Coast back to Ipswich and in that time I've managed to get 40 notifications with a shitload of news. Then a saw SUNS 's post saying Bomber signed at Essendon and almost cried. You bastard.

Very, very interesting. Interested to hear from others about this. I agree with what Sunny_ said - even if we don't get Bomber, I'll be glad they've let Guy go.

If Ablett didn't go down with his shoulder, he thinks the suns would of played finals and would of been really hard to sack Mckenna.
It's been natural progression that's helped the team each year.. Not so much McKenna
Says Bluey didn't have the... To tell the players honest feedback and told them they were being rested.. Yet really were being dropped.
Says Clarkson is very upfront and you'll know where you stand.. And what needs to change etc..
Bluey tip toed around a few players. Players were confused as to where they stood with him.
Had heard of rumblings with players since last year..not being happy with Bluey
Said even billy brown less could coach the Suns to finals 2015
Thompson would be silly not to take the gig up

Yeah you're probably right there, and everyone's views can change. That being said, I'm still interested - I've never really 'loved' or 'hated' Bluey, I just kinda sat neutral as a fan until the Bomber rumour came along.

I don't remember Lyon actually announcing that he was leaving St Kilda until the day he was announced as Freo's head coach (which was the day AFTER Mark Harvey was announced to have been dumped iirc).
