Looked overweight in the recent footage where he played in an indigenous game without seeking approval from his club.

- picked him up obscurely from Essendons Rookie list and he went on to have a very good career with us. Fingers crossed we might get something good from Finbar

If you look at what they have done here though assuming they get 24 & 28 back, pick 7 was letting flanders go and the difference between pick 8 and 24 + 28 is essentially pick 36.

SO they have paid Flanders, pick 36 and their F1 for him if the above Petracca + 24 + 28 for picks 7, 8 & F1 is the final deal.

Now they have a bunch of academy players with some top end ones there so as long as they have the points they are in dreamland with that deal.

That is why it is easy to believe we walked away from Petracca.

We can't trade that much Draft Capital out on a a 30 year old.

GC can, as they have their Academy set up which essentially makes the first round redundant.


Drafts and trading are supposed to equalise a league. The AFL have too many artificial practices in place for that to work.
