Interesting reading on the Lions board. General consensus is they all think Ah Chee is worth a first rounder and that our offer of future 2nd and 3rd was insulting... they seem to think a 2nd rounder is just a 'junk pick'...

A 2nd Rounder is a junk pick to you, if a handful of 4th rounders nets you an Academy gun every year.

Anyone else feel the longer the ah Chee thing dragged out, the more they couldn’t really care too much about getting him? Hope I’m wrong and we get him and he’s great but not really filling a hole and it is a long contract to get him in my view. Just happy we didn’t cave to what they were asking for in a trade I guess.

Well we had multiple top 10 picks and managed to **** up most of them. Other clubs seem to pick up decent mids in the trade as well. We prefer to overpay average crap players and then don't have any money to attract anyone. Pathetic.

Yeah seems as though draft picks outside the first round have very little value these days with all the academy picks

Sydney would want to be really good the next two years, that’s bigger than the J Cameron package

Not getting an AFL-level mid takes it from an A to a B-/C+, but I like the moves we made in isolation
