The latest interview from Neale definitely would suggest he wants to stay at the Lions but may need to go back to Perth for his kids.

I was watching Neale fairly closely on the weekend at the Barossa game. Still an absolute weapon this season at 32. If he's slowed down at all i'm not seeing it.

I think he could be a steal if the Lions are motivated to move him on given the off field stuff.

Surely if he moves it would be to West Coast both monetarily and to be closer to his children you would think. Can't speak for him but personally I'd put family well ahead of a aspirations for further Premiership success.

Need to double check Neale and Bailey get along, I’ve heard Bailey is a bit on the outer with a bit of the main group at the lions, not really “in with the boys”. If Neale impacts us not getting Bailey, don’t want a bar of it

Not sure I'd put too much credence in Twomey's ramblings re ROB.....but

If ROB did go to the Doggies it would likely mean their young Ruck in waiting Lachlan Smith (out of contract 2026) is very much on the outer with Beveridge still.

Surprisingly Beveridge has preferred to use Lobb etc in ruck with English out instead of giving Smith a crack after toiling away in the VFL for his 3rd season and given the Doggies drafted another ruck/forward in Louis Emmett in the 2025 draft Smith would be a very cheap pick up.
Possibly even a delisted free agent?
He's a man mountain already so all the works done in that regard and at only 21 next season he'd be a good ruck depth option IMO and come a fair bit cheaper than ROB for that list role.
