Were you at the same game i was at Cats2rise??? :D
Well i was at Geelong V Essendon, at Telstra Dome last night. Yourself?

What I am trying to say is that he looked better lastnight than what he did in the NAB cup.

Ah, i was mistaken.. musta been at Coburg v Strathmore or something! My bad. :thumbsu:

Its cool C2R, im not trying to have a go at ya. Im just gald we won!

He was alright, seen much worse debuts from our current players than what 'The Dispenser' had last night.

I thought he had a good game.. no major calamities so good on him... With the form Egan and Scarlett are in right now I see no problem in keeping Spencer in the seniors for a few more games

I'd stop short of calling his debut "good", in the normal context of the word (if that makes sense). I suppose it depends on what spin you put on it - it certainly wasn't the worst debut, but you could hardly argue that he had a "good" game, if we're to go by the standards to which we grade all the other 21.

I do suppose one could argue that the potential of Lucas taking over the game (much like our last encounter) and young Spencer to the cleaners never eventuated, but whether or not you count that as an odd victory is the fine line.

Certainly worth persisting with though.

I can see what you are saying. If you put it as "Who was better? Lucas or Spencer?, you would go with Lucas.

For a debutante though, he was alright.

Are you guys kidding me? Were you all at or watching the same game i was?

The bloke is nothing short of very average and is too slow for the game. He was made look stupid on several occassions.

Won't play more than 5 games of AFL.

I agree, but dissagree.

He is very good VFL player, but will not be an expetional AFL player, but I can see him playing more than 5 games.

For one, he will be our number one backup when Harley is unfit, and i do not see anyone being moulded to take over from Scarlett and Harley. Obviously Egan is one, and Spencer may be the other.

Yes Hoff, i was watching the same game as you. Spencer did a few good 1-on-1 things. His debut wasnt spectacular, but he didnt enough to show he can be used again.

Get your finger out of your @rse hoff, you are not God.

I didn't see him look stupid. I've been a big knocker of his after the NAB cup but I thought he was ok - helped by the fact that Lucas didn't do a lot of damage on the scoreboard. If he ever was threatening Spencer would have been moved but as it was he managed to get plenty of game time. Won't ever be a great player but will be ok as a back up.

stick to supportng KK buddy - Lucas has been around for years so a great test for a debut

I will, but that doesnt change the fact Spencer is too slow to play AFL football. He should sticko to dressing like a homeboy and walking around Market Square.

Very interesting quote buddy. It may be something you and others enjoy but not me. Good luck with it though.
