Spida Everitt Charged With.....

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

This moron is a nice diversion for the Collingwood sycophants in the media.

His thoughts - whether they be on twitter or toilet paper - are about as irrelevant as you can get.

Everitt is receiving more criticism than the gutless twerps that are alleged to have pack r*ped a young women.

This country is in the shit-house when it comes to ethical behaviour.

Eddie Maguire and a Pratt are usually the first to be involved.

Diamond encrusted dog shit is still dog shit.

Spida is a legend!!! You, when are you due for another meltdown?

I think Everitt has every right to have an opinion.

Sure, everyone can have an opinion, however Everitt is using his profile to spout absolute crap.

Women are allowed to drink, have boyfriends, wear sexy clothing, flirt and sometimes act dumb (just like almost everyone else on the planet)

But that does not give anyone the right to molest, or assault her.

No does really and truly mean no.

What Everitt has done is bloody terrible.

Yeah, just like you believe war atrocities should not be used for humour ... unless it's used by yourself to create threads to troll the Crows on Bay 13.

Here's a badge for you:

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is actually something my missus said recently. "Don't go out getting drunk til all hours of the morning, go home with a bunch of guys you don't know, and then claim you were r*ped. Because there will be people like me, who will call you a liar because we simply don't believe anyone could be that stupid.". I tend to agree with her.

Then make sure they know that when they're shitfaced at 3am, and they're invited back to a guys house to "party" with him and his mate, that their definition of "party" might be different to hers.

So basically, both you and your wife think that if a girl is drunk and out late, guys should be able to rape her without recourse? Even if (as alleged in the Collingwood case) she went to her own home with her boyfriend?

Wow. Just wow. I hope for the sake of humanity you do not breed.

Impaired judgement does not equal consent

No, we think that she has a duty of care to herself not to put herself in such a dangerous situation. We have trouble having sympathy for such people, just as we have trouble having sympathy for people who die in car accidents while doing 200 in a 60 zone.

I suppose it's because we've both been brought up to be responsible for our own action, so we expect the same from others, and have little time for people with a "I did something grotesquely stupid, and something horribly bad happened as a result" type story.

Then there's the whole "I can't believe what I did last night, my BF is going to kill me. I WAS r*ped. That oughta fix it" angle.

Rape dungeons are still rape dungeons..
I belive Stkilda boys use one to unwind fairly regularly..
i.e milne, montagna, gilbert, lovett...
Probably plenty more we dont know about...
So get of your high horse and wait till the police either charge him, or drop the charges..

If you had any idea of the low reporting and conviction rates of sexually based crime , the trauma victims experience through the court system of the circumstances behind many sexually based crimes (you probably think strangers still represent the bulk or perpetrators) I doubt you would cling to your ignorant opinions.

As for "responsible for her own actions", if you honestly think a rapist shouldn't be 100% at fault for committing the crime due simply to an oppotunity presented, that is the most ridiculous argument I've heard. Should a mugger be treated with greater sympathy if he targets the elderly, because the opportunity presented was easier?
"Grandma was walking to an ATM, she was asking for it"

What a disgusting argument you present.

Where exactly are they taking her back to? "The independent republic of Gang Rape?"

The High court of Australia is chrystal clear on this, if a girl says NO she means NO! - you ****ing arse clowns.

I'm not talking about girls who get r*ped by those they were supposed to be able to trust, so that entire paragraph is irrelevant.

Let me put it this way. When I have daughters that are approaching the age where they want to go out with their friends, have some drinks, and meet guys, I wont be teaching them that "no means no". I'll be teaching them that there are certain situations where "NO" doesn't mean shit, no matter how many times you say it. I'll be teaching them to recognise those situations, and how to avoid them.
"Grandma was walking to an ATM, she was asking for it"

You call my argument disgustin, then use a strawman to prove it. Good work.

The line is clear, if a girl says NO she means NO! - That is THE LAW! you ****ing arse clowns.
You go right ahead and teach your daughters that no matter what situation she's put herself in, when she says no, the guy (or guys) will all be happy to stop immediately. Then prepare for grief.

I'm not talking about the law, I'm not talking about what should happen. I'm talking about reality, about what does happen. In that situation, what should happen is irrelevant.

Like i'd do that with moronic attitudes like yours rampant in this society.

If i were you i'd try and teach your sons the actual law though because "judge the lads and i were pissed and we don't comprehend 'no' post 3am" - won't wash (thank god).

Of course. Like my daughters, they'll be taught to be responsible for their own actions and the consequences of them.

lol no IT'S NOT and jesus what a bloody cop out. What "should happen" is exactly what should happen. Why are you excusing such bad behavior from men?

and such prejudice and unfair attitudes like yours, makes the law all the more relevant and important.

spot on Mofra. This is being talked about as if it's some light weight laugh it off bullshit. This is a foul and devastating CRIME, and unless male attitudes like some of those displayed here change, the crime will never stop.

lol no IT'S NOT and jesus what a bloody cop out. What "should happen" is exactly what should happen.
Of course, but that's irrelevant if it's not what "does happen". It's no good telling a girl who's just been r*ped that "It's Ok, according to the law, they should have stopped when you said no".
Why are you excusing such bad behavior from men?
I'm not. I'm saying that like it or not, there are men out there who do these thing. The law can punish them, but it can't stop them.

and with such prejudice and unfair attitudes like yours out there makes the law all the more relevant and important.
You should be careful how you say that. My attitude is based on the fact that people don't always follow the law. Yours is based on the warm and fuzzy fantasy land, where people do follow the law.

When a girl is that drunk that she can barely walk unaided, and she's gone home with a guy she barely knows, then what the law says is completely irrelevant. What happens then is not decided by the letter of the law. It's decided by the person/people she's with.

Tell me honestly, would you be happy if you found your daughter had a habit of going out and getting shitfaced, meeting a guy she's never met before, going back to his place and saying, "No, I don't wonna have sex". How many times do you think she'll get away with that before she gets r*ped? Surely you'd prefer her not to be in that situation at all?

I'm not talking about girls who get r*ped by those they were supposed to be able to trust, so that entire paragraph is irrelevant.
So approximately 70% of rape cases are irrelevant?
In the Collingwood incident, allegedly her boyfriend was present. You keep avoiding this point.

I'll be teaching them that there are certain situations where "NO" doesn't mean shit, no matter how many times you say it. I'll be teaching them to recognise those situations, and how to avoid them.
And if they did find themselves in the situation and she was assualted, would you just tell her its her own fault?
She should join the (approximately) 85% of women who never report the crime due largely to both the "justice for criminals" system and the "blame the victim" stigma attached to the crime due to opinions such as yours?

Nice parenting Sheik Hilali.

You call my argument disgustin, then use a strawman to prove it. Good work.
I understand why you would avoid addressing it, as it counters yours well.

It says more about you when you use this issue to troll me

That thread I made was a mistake, I apologised

This issue is far too important to use as an excuse for crap point scoring
