Let's put this into some perspective...there has not been a spider related death in Australia since 1979. Yes, that's 35 years. Also white tails also fairly harmless unless you show an allergic reaction to them....again the odds of this is incredibly low.

Try getting bit on the d1ck by a white tail.

Putting the bins out tonight, mother ******* redback comes popping out from just under the latch when I touch it. gooses I hate ******* red backs.
I had to take the bis out the other week. I saw a heap of webs around the handle parts. I managed to move it by holding the top rail things as my hands werent going near the lower ones, for the reason you just outlined.

Rubbish!

It may not be recorded but 10-13 years ago i remember someone died from a spider bite in qld. I tried to find something on it but no results.

Was lucky the past 2 months or so, no random frights/encounters with spiders.

However over the last 24 hours I have had to deal with 3 of them. One was outside, the other two were inside one in my bedroom last night, the other in my bathroom this morning.

The bathroom one has a more interesting story behind it, I was naked and didn't want to run around trying to find a jar to catch it, so when it was on the ground I just threw the bath mat over it and smashed the ground with my fist - end result = squashed spider.

Came home from work yesterday and went to open a door and a huntsman fell from the sky and just missed my head, I screamed like a girl but the spider (a big one) didn't move at all, it seemed stunned. I went to stomp on it and this massive ****ing wasp started to attack me. I'm presuming the wasp had the spider and dropped it and that's why it was stunned.

I quickly got inside.

I would have reached for the cyanide pill.

I don't mind the old catch and release with huntsman spiders, they eat roaches, other spiders and all sorts of insects so they're alright by me. Daddy long leg spiders are ok too they can chill in the corner and eat all the mozzies not gonna bother me anytime soon, likewise with orb weavers in the garden. White tail spiders are pretty terrifying though they move fast and hide well, I've made more than a few diving lunges to smash rogue white tails sprinting for cover, a well timed strike with a nearby shoe usually does the trick though ;)

Daddy Long Legs are also very good at killing White Tails!

Daddy Long Legs are more the welcome. The rest can get f***ed!
